Fantastic Time at Sultan of Science Exhibition, Petrosains KLCC

Last Saturday was an exciting day for me. A group of bloggers and me got invited to Petrosains , The Discovery Centre,  to view their latest exhibiton -  Sultan of Science Exhibition

We got there just in time. Saw a man "fixing" the kiddie rides and I got two free rides!

I was anxious to go in but Mamarazzi said want snap photos pulak for the blog. Said going to blog about this experience wor.

Mamarazzi said it's certainly an eye opening experience. Sultan of Science is a global  touring exhibition and will be at Petrosains for six months.

Over the centuries, inventors and inventioofos  the West have been highlighted over and over again. What many did not know is that those from the East like the Muslim Scholars have achieved a lot in the past too.

This exhibition is to celebrate  the contributions of Muslim Scholars Achievements during the peak of the Golden Age of Islamic World (700-1700 CE) and Mamarazzi was sure surprised to see some inventions that she thought was invented by the West , actually sort of existed before that. What sort of? Coz something similar have already been invented by the Muslim Scholars ages ago.

Let's go...I was impatient to proceed with the tour but Mamarazzi "sibuk" wanna snap photos.

Halfway, a Little Bird pop up to "haunt" me pulak . *LOL* She gave me a birthday angpau though my birthday had gone. Thank you auntie little bird.

As I walked down the Hall of Fame, I wondered who were these people. What does this says?

Amazing...in 9th Century this lady was the Founder of the First University. Way to go!

I was admiring the Map of Invention and Discovery in A Golden Age.

Hmmm...very interesting...timeline format. I could use one of those for my Maths homework.

 Apa jual???

Perfume? Made of spices. Interesting leh. And Mamarazzi learned something new...All along she thought Muslim cannot drink alcohol hence also cannot use products that contains alcohol like perfume or baby wipes.

But here they say Spices Perfume is made of alcohol? How can this be? ooo....then the staffs there explained that  Muslim cannot consume but actually can wear it. And Auntie Lina further explained that cannot wear for praying ...can spray on the clothes then change clothes when praying.

More invention....Hmmm....looks like one of those turn turn thingy in the car engine leh...Mamarazzi also did not know it was invented so long ago.

Weeeeeee......am a bird...I know I can fly....this is the pattern of a bird in flight.....

Then I saw this treasure box. It's just like our Safe Deposit Box nowadays. Have to turn to the correct number before I can open the box.

This Combination lock cum Four Bolt Lock were both made by al-Jazari. It shows the level of innovations made centuries ahead of its time.

With some help from Mamarazzi, I managed to open the treasure box. Diamonds, rubies , pearls..not.

I had great fun at the Optic Illusion side of the exhibition.

 Errrrr...Geometry....I give up!

Play with "spying glass" better.

This one made me run far far away.....gosh...didn't know the injection needle was so BIG. Am so glad that I am born now where the needles are smaller than my fingers and not back then where they are bigger than my arm!

After walking around, we sat down and watched two shows.

Mamarazzi...you have to follow what he does.

This man is certainly a joker. Made us laugh a lot.

Next show was the Magician show...I "helped" . Was there a genie in the bag? Nope.....but it got something else.

Made me laugh till the end...was he dancing Oppa Gangnam Style or Harlem Shake? I also hyper la....I tunggang terbalik my stool and "danced" too

A group photo before everyone adjourned for lunch and proceed to the other exhibition in Petrosains.

I really had much fun at the Sultan of Science Exhibition. Half a morning gone, going around the exhibition.

But before going to the other exhibition, I had my hand painted.

Nice or not my Henna *LOL* Hope teachers won't scold la.

School holidays is coming...why not plan a trip to Petrosains to see The Sultan of Science Exhibition? What highlighted here is just a small portion of the exhibition. Must experience it for yourself  as it will only be around for 6 months. For more information, please visit http://www.petrosains.com.my/sultansofscience/index.html
