I Dined in a Choo Choo Train at Victoria Station, USJ

This was the second time that we've been here.

 Menu please.

For Starter, we had Caesar Salad.

Uiks...quite different from what I usually have wor. Got lemon and telur rebus geh.

Mushroom soup. Quite thick.

Hmmm...a bit more thicker will be just like Marche's

Taste great with Garlic Bread

Ah...not eat like this ah? Cannot put knife in mouth ah?

This one I know. Cut cut , spread spread , then NGAP!

MamaMi~ah! Papa ordered "Singapore Sling" for Mamarazzi.

Pretty soon there was a "lobster" sitting next to me.

 I got a Carrot Milk.

Wah...so TALL how to drink ah?

Me sharing Mixed Grill with Papa.

Oh no! Fire! Fire! Mamarazzi's steak is on FIRE!

Don't do this at home! Only the expert are allowed to play with fire like this. Guess must go to some college to learn how to do this.

Mamarazzi saw in the the website that there is a 25% drop out rate for freshmen in U.S. Major reason for that is financial pressure.

Opppsss....come to think of it...hope Papa remembered to bring his wallet to pay for the meal. Otherwse I have to stay back to wash plates...sobs...

On a brighter side, here is Mamarazzi's XO something something Steak.

Aiyoyo...Singapore Sling + XO...hmmmm...

She claimed it tasted super.
As usual...I "curi-ed" the cob of corn for Mamarazzi's plate while she was "otherwise engaged"

Managed to get Mamarazzi to bring me to the Choo Choo Train "Control Room". Love to play there.

 All a board!!! Choo! Choo!

Last but not least..I had a boat tooo. A banana boat with Ice Cream and real Banana in it.

With a mini umbrella too. How about it? The umbrella too small for me?

Hawker Food at Near Taman Bahagia LRT

Mamarazzi heard so much about hawker food at an area near Taman Bahagia LRT Station.

Addresss....errr...don't know but at the traffic light near the LRT station, turn right then take a left on the first junction. The makan area is on your left hand side.

Mamarazzi kebuluran.

Ordered Char Keoy Teow. Hmmm....personally she preferred the one in Brickfields.

 I makan-ed some too.

Papa had the prepacked Nasi Lemak. Fed me some...

Naughty Papa. Bee boo bee boo...spicy ah....

Jeng! Jeng! Jeng! Here comes the Fish Porridge. Supposed to be for Papa but I ate most of it.

Mamarazzi was still hungry. She went and ordered some Chee Cheong Fun and Yong Tau Foo.

Wondering what crazy disgestive system she got in her body. I googled and found this interesting piece of information. Maybe Mamarazzi have too much acid in her tum tum. It's written here that stomach acid is strong enough to dissolve razorblades!

Hmmm...now I know why Auntie Cleff likes to work at night. Coz the brain is more active at night tha day time.

Well, since Mamarazzi have such crazy digestive system, you better be careful if you wanna invite her for makan. Make sure there are ample food. Sometimes she can eat more than Papa and me.

Char Siew Pau...Oppsss!

Yesterday morning rained very hard. Very windy too. Don't know what wind blow till Mamarazzi woke up with "wind" to make Pau.

Alamak! L-Licence ni. Die!...am so going to be guinea pig again.
She bought a packet of Blue Key Pau Flour.

Dumb dumb her!...she didn't noticed the label on the box that said 2 packets of yeast are included. She went and bought a bottle of dried yeast pulak.

There are so many recipe for Char Siu Pau. Very confused. She end up follow the most simple recipe that she could find.
First she mixed the yeast with sugar and lukewarm water. Noted some blogs said to wait till the thing turns frothy.

The top one was the 1st round she made. Waited for more than 10 minutes still no froth.

Wokay...she tried again 2nd round. ...Hmmm much better result. After 10minutes, can see a bit frothy like a cup of cappuccino
She bought RM10 Char Siew from the market. Cut small. Then fry it a bit with some diced shallots.
Then we tackle the dough pulak.

Shifted the flour, added the shortening. Poured in the frothy yeast mixture and water.

Opps...sorry ah..Mamarazzi don't have the measuring cup and weighing scale so she used jelly-jelly(agar-agar ..agak-agak). Hence you can see my old milk bottle become the "victim" in order to measure how much water to add.

Massage ...massage...knead knead...punch punch...and the dough became smooth.

Very good exercise if you are mad at someone and wish to puch him or her.

Managed to get around 16 piece of dough out of the big lump.

Tired ah....the recipe said let the dough rest for about 10 minutes. Haiya...I think it's for Mamarazzi to rest la. Tiring leh kneading and punching the dough.

After awhile she started make the paus.

Errrr...how come the shape look so weird one?

Don't know how to pleat the pau properly though have watched the video. How come it looked so easy in the video?

Que sera sera....No eyes see.

Just dump everything into the steamer and steamed for about 15 minutes.

Hmmm....doesn't looks like any Char Siew Pau that I ate in the restaurant. How come the "mouth" never burst open geh...and the skin a bit yellowish.

Well..despite the unsightly look..the taste was there. Skin texture not bad la. Just not fluffy enough. How to make it more fluffy ah? Any tips?

My guess is because Mamarazzi estimated instead if following the exact amount of ingredients as specified in Cooking Momster blog.

Check out Cooking Momster blog for the complete recipe.

Malacca Cafe, Subang Bestari Shah Alam(3rd Visit)

This is another late post. Went there early August but some how the photos had gone missing till now.

This round, Mamarazzi had their Nasi Goreng Kampung.

Hmmm....memang delicious. The bilis was crunchy and a lot of vegetable added.

Mamarazzi is hooked on their Burung Puyuh Goreng. It's well marinated and perfectly fried. Not too dry nor oily.

For me, I had watermelon juice and shared Papa's "roti"

 With Kima.

This round we saw the Dim Sum stall opened. Tried two of the Dim Sum.

Haiya..should have gone there a day earlier coz the price for the Dim Sum gone up and they didn't have the time to up date the price in the Menu yet.

Hmm....taste well...kira okay la...maybe Mamarazzi not biasa with halal dim sum. She still preferred those from Chinese Dim Sum shops.

Overall, love this restaurant.

Here is the address if you happens to be in this area No 1, Jalan Nova Q U5/Q, Subang Bestari, 40150 Shah Alam.

Friendly People at Subang Jaya Book Exchange Programme

Jie Jie Nylusmilk told Mamarazzi about this Subang Jaya Book Exchange Programme(SJBEP) quite sometime ago but we never really got to go there till last weekend.

SJBEP have this book exchange thingy every 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month.

No familiar with the area...pusing punya pusing found this ...Yay! it looks like the photo on their Facebook.

This is the place. There ! There!

Uiks!...door not open yet leh.

Hey! something is happening....door opened.

Got a sign....

Jeng! Jeng! Jeng! here are the books that Mamarazzi got for us from the exchange.

No...no need to pay money one. Just go and take..

Ahemm ahemm...not actually "take" la. What we have to do is bring a book and "exchange" it with the books there.

Mamarazzi saw a lot of interesting books there.

Kiasu mode...shhh....she brought four books to there but she brought home six books. Nevermind la...next round she top up lo.

Anyway, the people there are so friendly and neighbourly. Mamarazzi saw the organiser brought tidbits, coffee and soya milk for us to ngap. So nice. Made Mamarazzi paiseh a bit coz went there with "two bunch of banana" only (means empty handed)

Here are the books she managed to pick up.

Gosh! what a gem! Pearl S Buck book!! It's a treasure!

Not much of kids book but Auntie Fay found me some. I took home one Mr Fox and The Stork book.

Looking forward to the next books exchange session. Mamarazzi already finished 3 books. Two more to go.

The Children's Life of Christ-The Story of the 10 Bridesmaids by Enid Blyton

This chapter in Enid Blyton book is the story of 10 bridesmaids. Five were wise while the other five were foolish.

In the old days, wedding was conducted in the night. Hmmm...I wonder why. Anyway,  the ten girls were invited to be the bridesmaids.

Night time ma...so dark dark ..have to have lamp lo. That time don't have torchlight so they used oil lamp.

Well, the girls were pretty excited to be invited. Bet they wore make-up and did their hair.

Did I tell you the other day Mamarazzi sotplug when and bought Hair Color? Not even Chinese New Year or any celebration leh.

She D.I.Y. color her hair. Hmm...got a bit extra...you can guess what happen next gua.

 My "tail" become "victim" again.

 Ta! Da!...very ahem ahemm....brown hor?

As for Mamarazzi's hair...hmm..kepala lembu....the color was hardly noticeable unless it's under direct sunlight. Guess next time have to get a lighter color tone.

Anyway, back to the story.

The ten bridesmaids have to get ready with their oil lamp waiting for the groom sides to arrive. Once the groom side arrived they have to cepat-cepat join the procession or else they will be left out.

The problem was, they don't know when the groom party will come so they had to wait and wait and wait. No handphone at that time. Cannot call and warn them in advance.

Now, five of the girls were very clever. They bought extra oil just in case the oil in their lamp was not enough. The other five did not.

Sad to say the groom party came late and the oil in their lamp finished. The clever ones can refill their lamp while the other five had to rush out to buy some more oil.

In the end they got left behind and when they arrived at the place were the wedding was held, the door was closed. Too late.....Pity them....They must have cried.

The moral of the story is that we must be prepared for the Kingdom of God at all times. Not wait till like Chinese say, "wanna poo poo then baru korek lubang".

And another moral of the story is..if your hair is black or dark color, be sure to get a lighter tone of hair color else the result after colouring would not be that noticeable .
