Jom Bali at Tesco Mutiara Damansara

Selamat Hari Kemerdekaan to all Malaysian.

Hmm....today Tesco sure have a lot of good offer.

We went to Tesco Mutiara Damansara the other day.  It was lunch time. Time to makan

I was not feeling well. A bit feverish and all that.

 Mamarazzi had this set lunch.

While I wanted to have noodle. When Mamarazzi asked me what noodle, I pointed to Hailam Noodle.

Wah...very big plate.

Not feeling well, I ate a bit only. Even that little bit came out eventually all over the floor. Kesian the staff there had to clean up the mess.

Papa helped me to finish the noodles.

Meantime, Mamarazzi had the "Nasi Goreng Ketam" Said it's delicious. Got real crab meat inside of those "crab filament" thingy.

Also a refreshing twist on the Ice Lemon Tea. They added a stalk of Lemon Grass on it.

Here is the address just in case you are interested Lot 18, Ground Floor, Tesco Mutiara Damansara, No. 8, Jalan PJU 7/4, Mutiara Damansara, 47800 Petaling Jaya, Selangor

My Lucky Day - Friday 26th

Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri to all my Muslim readers and have a safe journey Balik Kampung ya.

Friday 26th must be my luckiest day of the whole year. Won 3 contests in the same day.

First was the "BookXcess Blog Review Contest" and here is my winning entry "The Book That Changed My Life "Alien Snow by Dahl Pares". Thanks to inspiration from Auntie Little Bird

The second win was "Finding Area 51" by The Big Bad Wolf Books Sale. Won the much coveted Media Pass to the Largest Books Sale in The World. I hope Mr Wolf will grant me one more wish.

The third one was a Chiller Box. Not sure will be able to go and claim or not.

Yesterday afternoon, I went to BookXcess to claim my prize.

Jeng! Jeng! Jeng RM40 book voucher.

Bumped into one of the Blog Review Winner. If not mistaken his name is Mohammad. Very nice and friendly chap.

From the RM40 and the previous RM20 that Mamarazzi got from BookXcess 4th Anniversary, Mamarazzi bought the following books.

Got 50% off the price coz it was one of the book on 50% offer this week.

She also bought this

this

this

and this, we got an additional 5% discount coz Mamarazzi is a Member and the purchase is above RM50.

Gosh! I really love this Scooby Doo Play-A-Sound book

I was so happy that Mamarazzi bought me this book.

When we went to McDonald, Papa and Mamarazzi tengah order Happy Meal for me; I went to the side table and took spoon, coffee stirrer and a creamer for Mamarazzi.

She was surprised. She didn't know that I observed that she likes to order Coffee each time we go to McDonald.

While we were eating, guess what I discovered in my shopping bag?

A flyer of the coming Big Bad Wolf Books Sale.

Wah lau eh....looks like the average price of a book is around RM8 only leh!!!.

Very easy. This is how to get to the sale. Behind the flyer there is a map to show me how to get to the sale.

Wow...in the shopping bag, Mamarazzi also discovered a bookmark.

Is my eyes playing tricks on me or has Mr Wolf's weight had gone up? He seems to be a bit more rounder this time.  Maybe coz he need all the muscles to bring the 1.5 Million books to earth kot?

Uiks! Behind the book mark also have map to the Wolf's lair.

Mamarazzi's Lazy Chicken "Lai"

Guess there isn't anyone as lazy as Mamarazzi in this world. She wanted to make Chicken Rice but found the normal ways just too much work.

She went and throw some pieces of Chicken Meat into a pot and boiled them for awhile with some ginger and salt.

Washed some rice and put into the Rice Cooker.

Then she went and pour the whole pot of boiled Chicken meat and the "water" into the Rice Cooker and let it cook.

Aiya...Chicken Rice without the Ginger and cili mana sedap one? No cili ah? I blend the ginger lor. Should be "hot" enough.

Wah...ngum ngum just in time. Finished blending the ginger, the Chicken "Lai" is done. Nice leh?

Mmm....sedap. Can rival those sold in restaurant anytime. The rice not that oily and have nice aroma too. No MSG added Yumm.....

The Children's Life of Christ - Jesus Enters Jerusalem/A Generous Quay Po

Wow...so fast another week had gone. This week, the story from Enid Blyton book tells the story of Jesus Enters Jerusalem.

You see, in the old days they don't have bicycle like the one am riding now. They have horses and donkey to carry people around.

It was time for Jesus to let the people know of his existence. To let the people know that he come as God's son. He is the Saviour. The one who will deliver them from evil.

He instructed two of his disciples to go to a nearby village and there he said they will find a little donkey tied up. He told them to bring the donkey to him and if people asked, they were to reply "Because the Lord has need of him".

They found the said as foretold by Jesus. They brought the little donkey to Jesus and He rode the little donkey into Jerusalem. Many people greeted him. They know the wonders that he had done.

But the Priests and Pharisee were jealous and angry. They told Jesus to tell the people to be quiet. Instead, Jesus replied "If  these men should keep quiet on such a day as this, the very stones on the wayside would cry out!"

Well said!!! everyone except from those people loves Jesus. I bet just like those folks at Persatuan Rumah Caring Kajang Selangor loves Veronica from Quay Po Cooks blog.

Let me ask you one question. If people asked you what you would like for your birthday or how you would like to spend your birthday, what would be your answer? A day trip to somewhere? A lavish dinner at a grand restaurant? A quiet dinner with your family? Guess that would be the typical answer for most people, myself included.

Veronica is different. Her answer and I am quoting from her blog "I told my Quay Lo that I wanted to spend my birthday with the old folks at Persatuan Rumah Caring Kajang Selangor.

And that was just what she did! Click the link given and check out her post "Give and You Shall Receive" . Maybe her post would make you wanna help and spread the word too.

Have a bless Sunday!

Buka Puasa Buffet at Wadi AL-Nile Restaurant, Platinum Walk Setapak

The other day Auntie Little Bird was saying she would like to have a taste of the mooncakes made by me. The next morning I told Mamarazzi "I want something". Mamarazzi asked me want what? I told her I wanna make some mooncakes for Auntie Siew, Auntie Florence and Auntie Little Bird.

She said no need la as the fridge still have a lot. I told her no. Those are all JOSHUA eh.

Well, we did made more mooncakes and Mamarazzi contacted Auntie Little Bird.  Auntie Little Bird was very paiseh. Insist to belanja me eat Buffet.

That evening we delivered the mooncakes to her and we went to  Wadi AL-Nile Restaurant, Platinum Walk Setapak for their Berbuka Puasa Buffet.

We arrived 7.30pm and the restaurant was already full house. Lucky Auntie Little Bird booked earlier. Mamarazzi took some noodles for me.

For herself she took some Kaabsah Rice with Lamb, Ladies Finger, Chicken and some other things. Food tasted as yummy as every.

Then there are the "roti" and  the stuffs that accompany them.

Papa got me a bowl of alphabets soup. Wah....really have ABC and 123 in the soup on top of chicken meat. Tasted delicious!.

Quite a lot of dishes there to choose from. No photos coz Mamarazzi thought eat first and snap photos  later. But mana tau people walloped all the food!!!

By 8 p.m. most of the customers finished eating and gone back.

Ah? How like that? Me still hungry. No more replenish food? Buffet wor.....

But never fear! Mamarazzi asked the Boss. He was very good. He told us not to worry. We just have to tell them what we wanted and they will make and deliver it to our table

I went 'roaming' with Mamarazzi and found Ice Cream. I insisted that she get one for me, one for Papa and one for Auntie Little Bird.

We had this basket of 'Roti" delivered to our table

New way of eating the 'roti'. Celup in Ice-Cream. Sedapppp!

The Boss also had his staffs delivered 6 bottles of Barbican to our table. Complimentary from them. It's not included in the Buffet

WOw! so much bubbles. Taste just like "Zapple".

Blurp....! am stuffed. If I am not mistaken, the buffet price is RM32.90 per head.

Personally, Mamarazzi thinks it's worth it coz can try out a large variety of their food. If order ala carte, the price is higher and you may not be able to finish the dish coz the portion here is quite large.

Do go and try out their buffet before it's over. Make sure to make a reservation and go there early. Here is the address Wadi AL-Nile Restaurant, No 72-0, Block J, Platinum Walk, No. 2, Jalan Langkawi, 53300 Setapak, Kuala Lumpur. Tel : 03-41312356.
