Auntie Lina even says she love salak jeruk. Well, Mamarazzi went to Bazaar Ramadan saw they selling Salak jeruk (Pickled Snake Skin Fruit) in packets. One packet RM2 and inside only have like 5 or 6 pieces.
The next morning we went to the Pasar(market) and found the pickle fruit sold there. One BIG jar cost only RM12. So cheap. the Lady said she made them herself but how true is the statement we won't know but the fruits does look "clean".
Walked a bit more and she found fresh Buah Salak. This is how it looks like in a branch.
Guess this is the reason it's call "Snake Skin Fruit".
came back from Pasar, found Ah Mah had bought huge bag of Petai for us among other things . We start our journey after breakfast.
Since I like "pee sai" so much, Mamarazzi introduce me to "Pee Sai" . She bought a bottle of "pee Sai" for me.
What is its called in Chinese?
I feel in love with "Pee Sai" and kept posing with "pee Sai".
Eating and muching all the way home.
Munching "Jack n Jill" crackers.
THen Papa bought me "cup" ice cream. I sat so "K yeng"(weird pose) to eat the ice cream
.
Kena Papa pulled my legs
I baru wanna sit properly to eat the ice cream
Stopped at Kijal to "tapau" KFC as the McD at Kerteh was not open.
Also "tapau-ed some lemang. Too bad the usual stall number 8B was not open. Bought from another stall. The stall owner refused to cut open the Lemang for us giving reason that the lemang is hot.
Wh lau eh...you selling lemang and you are scared of hot ah? How come stall number 8B can open the Lemang and packed for customer and this stall can't?
Finished my KFC drumstick, I started with the rice pulak.
Then when arrived at Kor Kor Jon's house I insisted on sitting in front pulak. I wanna drive like Papa but my real motive is the bag full of food at the front seat.
Each time drop by Auntie CC's house, she would surely supply us with loads of goodies to eat during the journey home.
Got cake la.
Got Karipap Ikan(Fish Curry Puff)
After a while, I got kicked to the back for disturbing Papa driving too much. And yet, I did not stop munching.
Came home too tired to do anything. Straight took bath while Mamarazzi stuffed everything into the fridge.
Did I tell you we bought home some Pulut Lepa too. What is pulut Lepa?
It is glutinous Rice cooked with coconut milk with fish meat as "inti". It's wrapped in Banana leaf and grilled.
It look like this.
The next day I went to school and when my class ended, Papa and Mamarazzi were waiting for me in front of the school .
They were waiting for me with Pulut Lepa coz after the class we planning to go "gai-gai".
When we came home that night, I "help" Mamarazzi to crack open the Lemang.
Used the "Lesung" to bang bang the bamboo.
Mamarazzi hard at work and I snapped her photo
Just a bit more.
Jeng Jeng!!! Opened liao.
Rather disappointing. Can't say that this lemang is that good. Mamarazzi saw some
"white spots" Looks like this stall mixed Glutinous Rice with the
normal rice to cook.
Taste so-so only. Must ban this stall.
Thank you to Auntie CC for these adorable homemade piggy mooncake.
And the lovely normal mooncake and shanghai mooncakes
