Sorry again. This is another basi(stale) post. Happen two months ago.
I went to look for Auntie Florence. She was on leave that day and it was near dinner time, so we had dinner with Auntie Florence lor. It was raining. Everywhere, traffic were slow. Hence we decided to eat somewhere nearby.
Google and found some blogs recommended this Bone & Pot Steamboat Restaurant. Just nice for a rainy day.
Brrr......it was rather cold as it was air-conditioned.
But luckily I have a warm sweater that Papa bought for me.
Plus a pot of warm Chinese Tea, I felt comfortable.
what is this "pump" for ah?
Wow....6 types of dipping.
Mamarazzi like the most is the fried garlic.
We ordered portion for three persons (RM19.80/person).
Very dainty
Not like most standard steamboat ingredient.
as usual the set comes with noodles and eggs
They have 5 types of broth and do take note that the broth is charged separately. Unlike others steamboat restaurants, here the broth is not included in the steamboat set.
We opt for Mixed Broth(RM13)- Signature Pork Bone Broth and Pepper Pork Broth. In the broth there was really big pork bone in it
and quite a lot of pig stomach in the Pepper Pork Broth.
We ordered ala-carte Udon (RM3-80)
Sea Urchin Ball (RM8-80) Expensive but delicious to our taste.
Water Crest (RM4-90). The Leaves a bit bitter.
Button Mushroom (RM5-80)
Needle Mushroom(RM5-80)
Golden Beancurd (RM5-80)
Papa and Auntie Florence loves this beancurd very much. It's crunchy outside and was soft like Tauhu Fa inside.
Home Made Sotong Mee (RM9-90) highly recommended by some blogs.
Just squeeze and the "mee" will form. I did not like it much. Preferred the real noodle.
Salted and Pepper Fried Sotong (RM8-80)
The steamboat was a bit pricey in Mamarazzi's opinion but she loves the broth very much. She loved it so much that she brought a friend to have dinner here again the next week. However, sad to say we did not stay as that particular day, there was an unpleasant smell in the shop. Probably detergent to wash the floor too strong or something.
Mamarazzi was determine to let her friend have a go of the delicious broth hence we changed venue to have the steamboat at their Kelana Jaya Branch. Service there were very good . Only down side is that the branch does not have "Personal Steamboat Seat". All ingredient have to be ordered separately. Quite pricey. Nevertheless, we did enjoy the food there very much.
Will probably go to the Kuchai Branch again when Uncle Patrick comes back. Hopefully no unpleasant smell then.
Here is the address should you wish to have a try of the delicious steamboat.

I've only been to the one in PJ when it first opened. Clothes still smelled of the place :P And yeah, I thought it was a tad pricy too..

wah!! the soup also gotta charge separately ah?? like that i culture shock lor.. but then i wonder after you pay for the soup, they will refill for you or not??
ReplyDeleteSK
DeleteMe too shocked. Yes, they will refill without extra charge. I think maybe they charge coz they put in the big bone and the liu. and the pig stomach. all those cost money. One piece of bone like that in the wet market already nearly rm5
yalah, nowadays steamboat can be quite expensive, especially in these modern style franchise.. i still love the traditional run-down shops lah..

There's another branch at Uptown - behind OCBC bank, same row with a lot of those slimming/beauty centres. Like your friend said, if you exit Damansara toll at NKVE, just go down straight and you'll see the shop on your left.
