Dinner at Mei Six Hin Restaurant

We stop by Mei Six Hin Restaurant for dinner after coming back from Ah Mah's house.

We went to the restaurant 3 times and twice already we saw this lady selling pens along the road. Approached each car to sell pen.

You can say that she is earning an honest living as she is selling something and not begging. But another way of thinking is that if buying the pens from her, it might encourage more people doing the same along the road.

Papa said in Indonesia there are many vendors like this. Going from car to car selling stuffs. There are some dishonest ones who when we give big note, they would pretend to search for changes and delay till the traffic light changes to green and the car owner is forced to "move" without getting his/her change. If it is not mistaken, this type of business is illegal in Indonesia.

Playing with my "Baby computer" while waiting for our food to be served.

 Sharkfin Fried egg.

According to Papa, put the eggs in salad leaves and roll it up and eat.

Crunchy but Mamarazzi said the eggs were a bit too oily for her.

Taufu with Salted Vegetable. Mmmm...Mamarazzi loved this very much. Super yummy to her.

Fish slices with Spring Onions. Portion was quite big despite we asked for small portion.

Mamarazzi's conclusion the food here suit her taste. Not bad. will wanna come again to try out their other dishes,

Here is the address

  1. So now we have street vendors selling from car to car? I have yet to see one except for beggars only. Yes in Jakarta, you can make a living on the streets selling stuffs or just directing traffic at busy junctions! Drivers will tip you some rupiahs if you hold the traffic to allow them to come out first. Just flag your hands out of car window with a rupiah note and the street will be yours. Crazy!

  17. Here people sell newspapers at the red light. In New York, people would wipe your window for money, but it has been stopped long since.

    I like your smile.
