Mamarazzi's favourite Char Koey Teow is the one in Brickfields but we can't always go down town.
Recently Mamarazzi found one CKT stall that give quite tasty CKT with enough "Wok Hei"
Jeng! Jeng! Duck Egg Char Keoy Teow. Taste. Don't know la. Mamarazzi said taste like normal. But saw Papa syok syok eat.
She preferred CKT without egg. She had a packet of that and found it good. Just too bad no pork lard.
Another speciality here is Black Pepper Fried Udon. The lady selling Wantan Mee recommended Mamarazzi to try this so Mamarazzi ordered a packet of it from the CKT lady.
Came home tasted it. It doesn't suit Mamarazzi's taste. The Udon was fried exactly like CKT. Only difference is black pepper is added into it.
Nevertheless, we will certainly go back for more CKT. Here is the address of the restaurant. It's a corner shop. Not sure the number but it's located at Jalan Bulan M U5/M, Subang 2, Sect U5 Shah Alam
I know in Taman Bahagia, Restoran Gembira also has duck egg ckt but never tried (: My fave CKT would be at SS2 wai sek kai, can't remember which stall num hehe

wow, CKT with duck eggs!! actually i've not tried any before lah, they say it's way nicer than the normal chicken eggs..
ReplyDeleteSk
Deletethat is what they day la but mamarazzi doesn't know how to appreciate that.
We have CKT with duck eggs here too, and very disambut hangat one.
DeleteBut I don't taste any extraordinary flavour in it.
Still prefer to old type of CKT, with chicken egg, shrimp and cockles.
Yvonne
DeleteYou are same like Mamarazzi la. But Mamarazzi doesnt takes eggs with the CKT. Maybe coz since young she never had CKT with eggs.
how come mamarazzi likes it without eggs?? you don't like to eat eggs at all?? hmmm, how strange, hehehe~~
ReplyDeleteSK
DeleteMaybe its because since young Mamarazzi had been having CKT without eggs so now if ask to eat with eggs she feels weird
but that packet of CKT paparazzi has looks super yummy woh, i think can fight with the one in Brickfields??
ReplyDeleteSK
Deletecan fight with Brickfields if only she would add pork lard
but then again, i don't fancy black pepper at all.. most of the cooking outside "abuse" black pepper, they put too much and make the whole dish so spicy until the dish lacks it original taste, which i think it's so salah~~
ReplyDeleteSK
DeleteNot sure coz tyhe next stall stall say the black pepper udon is very nice. Guess it depend on individual taste
hahaha, true also lah.. you staying in Shah Alam it's really a bit far to go downtown KL purposely for that CKT only right?? unless you really kepunan~~ :D
ReplyDeleteSK
DeleteYa lo....no courier service LOL
just now dunno what happened, suddenly the comment box hilang, i also dunno whether the comment i typed is saved or not??
ReplyDeleteSK
Deleteyou comment appeared. But this new blogger these few days sotplug a bit. Each time i create a post, two post appear in my posts schedule.
Have not tried duck egg ckt before...
ReplyDeleteSharon
DeleteOoo...maybe you should try. People say it's very tasty
Credit to them for putting banana leaf.
ReplyDeletePutting banana leaf will make the CKT more 'fragrant', I love it when put banana leaf on anything - nasi lemak, kueh, CKT, banana leaf rice :D
DeleteYee Ling and Yvonne- ya lor...does smell nicer right
DeleteWow, have not even heard such thing exist, must go try their duck egg char keoy teow :)
ReplyDeleteThristhan

ReplyDeleteKitty
