The next morning, Papa missed KT's food and we went food hunting. I was still blur sotong.
Kinda grumpy.
First stop. "Chein Kuih" stall. Papa's favourite. Directly translated as Fried Kuih. If not mistaken it's carrot cake fried to crispy and golden brown. Not like in KL fried like CKT.
Start to be "activated" when I saw this. I said wanna eat this. Mamarazzi said cannot eat. It's for prayer only.
It seems that it was "Kuan Yin God" Birthday that day.
Next t the pasar is this Chinese Temple. Papa said there is a BIG snake at this temple.
Saw a lady selling Banana.
I want some.
Me happy again as Papa and Mamarazzi bought some Banana and Duku Langsat for me.
When some people heard the word "Trengganu", they would think it would be hard to get Chinese Food. But this ain't the case. There are many Chinese Shops and Restaurant at Chinatown.
A lot of food to be had here.
It was delicious. We had to go back to the pasar to get some more Kuih Bom.
On the way to the Pasar, we saw this BIG "Penyu"(Turtle).
Lovely mosaic.
ll Turtle Lane? Hmmmm...a nice attempt to beautify the place but am not sure will dare to go down this lane at night.
Can back to Ah Mah's house that morning was greeted by a bunch of these ... super!
Mamarazzi bought a "plate" of this economy noodle for me. Hmm RM1-30.
Enjoying my piece of "Vitamin".
Sorry ya for the poor quality of the comic as Mamarazzi had yet to discover how to forward the comic to herself so she just print screen .Any likeness to me?
The kueh BOM loooks good..it it likedoes it taste like those ham chim piang? :)
ReplyDeleteClaire
Deletetexture like ham chim peang la. Goit a few types of inti. One of which is durian :p

ReplyDeleteSK
DeleteNo wor....
awwww, the kueh bom sounds interesting leh.. inti ikan?? how is the ikan cooked?? like sardine or like fishball inside??
ReplyDeleteSK
DeleteIts like hamchim peng . The inti ikan is they use the meat only. Not sure how they treated the fish but it's like our meat floss only it's coarser version.
I thought kueh bom with inti ikan is like the malay's kueh bom, stuffed with sambal ikan bilis. I love that kueh, nom nom nom!!
DeleteYes, Yvonne. This one chinese Ham Chim Peang version of it
Deletewow!! mamarazzi tried out the comic strips ah?? so hardworking, hehehe, you playing that with small kucing together??
ReplyDeleteSK
DeleteYa lo...he ka ka cau cau
hmmm, i think they don't have a function to forward the photo to ourselves leh.. but what i did was, right click and save as to my own PC lah.. like that way better than screen capture lah..
ReplyDeleteSK
DeleteOoo like that ah...I never thought of it LOL.
I want to try the bom, fish inside!!! And the noodles look good... Why so grumpy? Grow old very fast like dat...

Betul tu. My anak also same. Must drag to market. Show how vegetables look like. Ayam look like. Ikan look like. Cannot only know how to makan. ;p
DeleteLina
DeleteThe other round he went pasar behind the Petaling street. Saw the chicken and duck kena cage, this fella syok syok and doesnt wanna move. Dont think he sayang animal or pity them coz there was one time watching TV saw people sembelih animal. Then the Papa said the animal die liao. He replied said "can eat liao?" LOL
Very good. At least he won't cry and pity the animals. We Muslims, if we pity the animal, we cannot eat them... Like so kesian tengok lembu kena sembelih - then cannot eat the beef later!
DeleteLina, is that so? Cannot sympathy the animal, otherwise cannot eat?
DeleteI never seen the animals kena slaughtered before, maybe I'll pity them on the scene, forget about it when I go home and eat them :p
Oo..I heard about that too. Forgotten about that.
DeleteI know Chinese also got something like that. When people sembelih ayam, cannot say pity else the ayam cannot go heaven
The anak kucing, grumpy ka, blur like sotong ka still cute! ^^
ReplyDeleteLina
DeleteStill sleepy lo
Anak kucing eats so much! Can fit all in his tummy kah? :)
