Morning Market and Breakfast At Ah Mah's

The next morning, Papa missed KT's food and we went food hunting. I was still blur sotong.

 Kinda grumpy.

First stop. "Chein Kuih" stall. Papa's favourite. Directly translated as Fried Kuih. If not mistaken it's carrot cake fried to crispy and golden brown. Not like in KL fried like CKT.

Start to be "activated" when I saw this. I said wanna eat this. Mamarazzi said cannot eat. It's for prayer only.

It seems that it was "Kuan Yin God" Birthday that day.

Next t the pasar is this Chinese Temple. Papa said there is a BIG snake at this temple.

 Saw a lady selling Banana.

 I want some.

Duku Langsat. It was a bit expensive at RM5 per kilo as it is still early of the season. During the peak season it could go as low as RM2 a kilo.

Me happy again as Papa and Mamarazzi bought some Banana and Duku Langsat for me.

But before we left, Papa bought some Kuih BOM. It's something like out KL's Ham Chim Peah but here the "inti" was fish instead of red bean.

When some people heard  the word "Trengganu", they would think it would be hard to get Chinese Food. But this ain't the case. There are many Chinese Shops and Restaurant at Chinatown.

A lot of food to be had here.

While Mamarazzi was buying Wan Tan Mee for breakfast, I was enjoying Kuih Bom in the car with Papa.

It was delicious. We had to go back to the pasar to get some more Kuih Bom.

On the way to the Pasar, we saw this BIG "Penyu"(Turtle).

 Lovely mosaic.

ll Turtle Lane? Hmmmm...a nice attempt to beautify the place but am not sure will dare to go down this lane at night.

Can back to Ah Mah's house that morning was greeted by a bunch of these ... super!

Mamarazzi bought a "plate" of this economy noodle for me. Hmm RM1-30.

Not bad lah...when pour out it was quite a big plate full. The only downside is they tend to wrap everything with styrofoam.

 Enjoying my piece of  "Vitamin".

Oh...by the way, does this comic look like me? Mamarazzi was trying out the comic website that SK recommended in his blog.

Sorry ya for the poor quality of the comic as Mamarazzi had yet to discover how to forward the comic to herself so she just print screen .Any likeness to me?

Its like hamchim peng . The inti ikan is they use the meat only. Not sure how they treated the fish but it's like our meat floss only it's coarser version.

The other round he went pasar behind the Petaling street. Saw the chicken and duck kena cage, this fella syok syok and doesnt wanna move. Dont think he sayang animal or pity them coz there was one time watching TV saw people sembelih animal. Then the Papa said the animal die liao. He replied said "can eat liao?" LOL

      Delete
    4. Very good. At least he won't cry and pity the animals. We Muslims, if we pity the animal, we cannot eat them... Like so kesian tengok lembu kena sembelih - then cannot eat the beef later!

      Delete
    5. Lina, is that so? Cannot sympathy the animal, otherwise cannot eat?

I never seen the animals kena slaughtered before, maybe I'll pity them on the scene, forget about it when I go home and eat them :p

    6. Oo..I heard about that too. Forgotten about that.

I know Chinese also got something like that. When people sembelih ayam, cannot say pity else the ayam cannot go heaven
