Not long ago, Mamarazzi received a present. It's the much talked about Happy Call Pan (HCP).
Mamarazzi's hands itchy liao. Saw Mommy Ling made Char Siew(BBQ Pork). Mamarazzi was keen to try too.
Bought a slice of Oink Oink( Fa Yuk) but heard it's the wrong part for making BBQ pork. Hmm....which part should Mamarazzi use ah? Any advices?
Marinated overnite with dark sauce, oyster sauce, salt, garlic juice, chinese cooking wine and sugar. Auntie CC said it's very important to massage the sugar to the meat till they fully dissolved..
The next morning while I was in school, Mamarazzi started the "project". "Opening ceremony" of her new HCP.
The Oink Oink was cut into smaller pieces coz Mamarazzi worried that it will be difficult to turn the meat later on.
Both Mommy Ling and Auntie CC said must use SMALL fire.
Errr...this one not small enough.
"Wa thap" Mommy Ling with the photo.....got the "approval" fire is small enough.
After peeping a few times and turning the oink oink , it looked done.
As adviced by Auntie CC, must turn the fire to max for a few seconds to "Char" the meat. Making it "burnt" a bit. Nicer to eat.
Jeng! Jeng! Four pieces of lovely "Char Siew"(BBQ Pork)
Looked nice ya?
Wait wait...Anakrazzi at wor...snap photo first before eat.
I don't eat can ah?
black black leh...looks like poo poo
Lick Lick only la....
Not nice. I don't like.
Mamarazzi tasted some. Said not bad lah. The only thing is the lean meat portion was tough. Could it be because of wrong portion of meat? Or cooked too long? or cooked not long enough? Mamarazzi cooked around 20-25 minutes wor..
kewl .. where did u get the HCP?
ReplyDeletecan get in malaysia?

Deletekekeke a bit keras la
you have a great pan too..

Deletevery happy with the pan
I also use pork belly, i think choose more fat than lean that will make the char siew less tough.
