As in Enid Blyton's book, there lives a man in the city of Capernaum. He was paralysed. He often thought maybe this is God's punishment to him because of his sins. He wished that his sins could be forgiven.
One day of of his friend brought him news about Jesus a great healer and they decided to bring him to meet Jesus. Jesus was inside a house, talking to the people there. There was a huge crowd surrounding the house and the friends can't bring the man into the house.
But they when they saw the man eyes, they resolved to help him no matter what. One thought of a great ideal. They climb up the roof and lower the man down to Jesus from the roof.
People in the house were surprised to see a mattress was being lower into the house from the roof.
Jesus saw the man's face and knows what he yearns the most. He told the man that his sins were forgiven.
The crowds were horrified at what Jesus said. Jesus saw what the crowds were thinking. They were thinking how is it possible that Jesus have the power to forgive sins. Only God can do that.
Then Jesus asked the crowds which one is easier to say to the man? "Your sins are forgiven" or "Rise up and walk". And then he show everyone he have the power to forgive sins and he commanded the man to rise up and take his bed and go home. The man did just that to everyone amazement.
Which reminds me of a rhyme in a book from Tommy Nelson " Miracle happens, they do they do. Miracles happens for you and me"
Have a nice and peaceful Sunday!
Faith will cause miracles! Happy Easter!
