About two moons ago, we went to Bandar Baru Klang. It was near lunch time. Don't know where to eat and ngum ngum a staffs at the company where we went said this Kitch cafe/restaurant have nice Nasi Bakar(Burning rice?)
Hmmm I wonder what is Nasi Bakar.
Very unique looking sort of Menu. Written on a piece of management diary paper and then the laminated it.
Wah...decoration also unique leh
Got a cozy corner where they have books, Board games and magazine.
I wanna check out to see if they have any toys but Mamarazzi said don't touch wor....*sulks*
But terbalik, she went and look at the books.
They have some yummy reads there
Mamarazzi ordered Nasi Bakar. Wah lau eh...it came in a big steel bowl. Mamarazzi had not seen these type of bowl since they were being used by her granny leh. Wondering where did the restaurant managed got buy so many of them.
Very unique.
Opened up the banana leaf...it's the Rice with chicken meat. Mamarazzi tasted it. Hmmm....she doesn't like it coz not used to it..
Papa had a taste. Hmmm ...for him it was okay.Could it be that they used or mixed plain rice with glutinous rice? Not sure but Papa tasted it and it seems like its have glutinous rice. Mamarazzi thinks Papa like it coz it's like Nasi Dagang la
Papa had the Ayam Penyet set. Wah lau eh...where is the ayam? There...penyek under the kicap bowl. The Chef certainly have humor.
Hmmm...does not feel like the Indonesian Ayam penyet. Maybe different way of cooking or roasting..
Came one more set of Nasi bakar. It was Auntie Florence's ...she seems to enjoy it very much.
Me leh....once again my food came last.
Aiyo.....all the plates so big. Not enough space la on the table. See! so big plate of noodles for me.
But I LOVE the noodle leh . They are soooo delicious. Usually I hate spicy food but this round mamarazzi saw two Cili padi in the plate but I did not complain about spiciness wor. Hmmm...she said looks like if the food suits my taste, even how spicy also I would eat.
These....errr...what was its ah.....dies...duno.....have to ask Papa......
Here is the address if you wish to try out the unique food here. Lovely environment . As for the taste ...well...it depends whether it will suit your taste buds or not.. :-

ReplyDeleteThat was the first time I cooked rice with pot over fire and made Nasi Bakar instead! No talent needed!
Eh! This is interesting to hear that rice wrapped in banana leaves with chicken meat. Mmmmmnn..
DeleteWakakaka...next time wrap the rice in banana leaf first..if you dont have maybe ask pisang to soated some for yoi...at least this way yoi wont hv to scrub the pot so hard leh or throwaway the pot

Deletewow, i rarely see a resto with a book corners,
ReplyDeleteon which you can read books for free

ReplyDeleteyummy and it was huge in servings so it was a plus plus

Deletevery cute menu handwritten on a piece of paper from the organizer and then laminated at the photocopy shop?? hmmm, cost-saving and kind of a unique gimmick also.. :p
ReplyDeleteNo need to print so expensive lor ..otherwise will pass the cost to customers pulak
Deletenice little cosy corner for the customers who would like to spend a quiet afternoon huh?? but alaaaaa, mamarazzi didn't allow small kucing to touch any toys and yet she raba-raba all her "toys" (book i mean) there.. so unfair lah~~ :D
ReplyDeleteKekeke life is unfair :p
Deletehahaha, the big steel bowl!! wow, so retro and vintage lah.. i used to use that kind of plates to eat when i was a kid, now of course no more and rarely can get it from shops huh??
ReplyDeleteNow cant get anymore. Wondering where they got those. Would be nice to get some
Deleteactually looked not bad lah, at least that piece of chicken looked more appetising than that penyet one.. but i would also agree that the noodles seemed to be the best huh?? even with chili and small kucing didn't complain about it..

ReplyDeleteMamarazzi jakun mah..never know about ayam penyet except for the chain restaurant here
DeleteI think I will like to eat this nasi bakar. Why doesn't mamarazzi like it? Does it have a burnt taste to the rice?
