Orange Cupcakes for a Delightful Class Party 2012

Yesterday was my Class Party. Once again Cikgu said to bring some food to share with my friends.

Since we went to my friend's Yashveer birthday party, Mamarazzi had this crazy idea of making muffins or cupcakes for my class party.

Think think think....look look look....finally found one simple Orange Cupcakes recipe.

On Tuesday while I was at school, she started her project. Took an Orange from the fridge.

Grated the orange rind and then juiced the Orange.

Sifted 250gm of slef raising flour with 2 teaspoon of baking powder.

Beat one tablespoon of orange rind with 150gm butter and 150 gm caster sugar. Added two eggs in it and beat it a bit more before pouring them into the shifted flour.

Then she folded the flour over and over again. It was a bit too thick so she added about 7-8 tablespoon of Orange Juice.

then fill 3/4 of the paper cups with the mixture.

Wow....so nice to see them going up up up and away.....

While waiting, she tried her hands in making the frosting or whatever pulak. Not very sure on the method and ingredient.

Google and hentam aje la.

Found one website that says use :-

1 1/2  cups of powdered sugar
1/8 teaspoon of salt
1 table spoon of grated orange rind
3 tablespoon of soft butter
2-3 spoons of orange juice

Haiz......as usual..she never read properly lah....simply mixed everything together. End up the mixture was too "watery". Haiya...what to do ah.....hentam put some more butter in la.

End up...not perfect but will do la.....says kids makan ...no need cantik cantik one la.

Orange cupcakes from hot from the oven. Had to wait for it to cool down first then she "chopped" off the "heads".

Spread the icing" and decorated it a bit.

Jeng! Jeng!....not perfect but kira okay la...At least my friends finished 2/3 of the cupcakes la.

As for me, I got 3 bags full of goodies from the teacher. There was even a Mr Clown in the school making balloons for us to play with. It was fun and we got to go home early.
