That day, not only Auntie Claire gave us some "Hand Letters" but Auntie Elin too. Mamarazzi don't wanna crowd the said post too much and felt a separate mention would be much better.
Yes, Aunti Elin gave us a box of Kaya Puff and a box of "boms". Errr...what do you call these ah? Tausah Peah? Heong Peah?
Oppsie...sorry ah.....this photo taken at a rest area when the driver was feeling sleepy ...ngapped a piece ..or was it two...to stay awake
See......it has got Pandan Paste in it. Then a quarter/half of an egg yolk.
Only 5 pieces survived the journey home.
For Papa and Mamarazzi, they are very delicious. The skin have just the right texture and the paste....not sure how to describe the paste....it's not entirely smooth till creamy like...texture more like there is something to chew on..just like people use hand to "lenyek" the beans instead of use machine. That was what they like about it.
Thank you very much Auntie Elin for the goodies and the address.
Hmm....next trip to Ipoh must earmark this place. Have heard of it but so far have not drop by. According to Auntie Elin, the address is as follows :-

Deletewooi, the kaya puff looks delicious woh, but then cannot see the inside lah.. i quite like to eat kaya puff one leh..
ReplyDeletethat one is Tausah Peah not Heong Peah.. Heong Peah are those bigger ones, more flaky and crunchy, the inside filling is the melting syrup, not the bean paste..
Deletewah, never came across Tausah Peah with salted egg yolks inside woh.. but then i won't fancy that also lah, i don't like salted egg yolks in pastries one..
Deleteok lah, at least still got 5 pieces that can survived through the journey home.. i thot whole box kena hentam finish before even half way home, hahaha!!
DeleteYalah... so restraint one. Why not hantam eat all during the jurney? ;p
