The Pig Ate The Chicken And The Cat Ate the Pig in Ipoh

Last week we had a "quickie" trip to Ipoh.

After my class, papa picked me up. We came home and had lunch . I did my homework super fast and then we were off to Ipoh. Send Ah  Kong and Ah Mah to Ipoh as they were going for a trip with relatives.

Had a "date" with Auntie Claire And Auntie Elin. But before that we stopped by the Pomelo place to "borong" some pomelos.

During my Po Po time, the Pomelo stalls used to be man by many Ipoh Lenglui(pretty girls). Once you stop your car, a whole bunch of lenglui will come out and greet you.

But that evening, no lenglui. Cold and rainy weather. All lenglui went hiding.

Don't really know which stall is good as the previous two trip, the stalls gave us not so nice pomelo. When Papa asked Mamarazzi which stall to stop by, she just "hentam" stall number 5 as she saw that stall have a lot of pomelo.

It was man by a kindly looking old lady. Mamarazzi was surprised the price was so cheap. Can get 3 pomelos for just RM10 and decent size too.

Borong four sweet sour pomelo just for RM27. Usually the price for one Sweet sour Pomelo was at least RM15.

Contributing factor to the low pricing might be due to Mid-Autumn Festival have just ended.

Never theless, this lady boss was very "cincai" with the price. Even gave us a free pomelo in the end.

Car boot no space.

Next stop, makan with Auntie Claire and Auntie Elin at Crab House, Ipoh Garden.

 (recycled photo)
Dropped the lobster for the Chef to cook.

Sure you wanna eat Lobster?

Later itchy again how? but Mamarazzi said no worries as Auntie Elin gave her some med  for that.

Here is me showing Auntie Elin how I "smiled" for my school photo session.

We had this special Claypot "Kau Gei" Vegetable. Very special as usually the "Kau Gei" vege, Mamarazzi will use to cook soup but this one the "soup" was thick and they added crab meat and shrimp into the pot. Taste good though a bit salty.

Must try and duplicate this "soup" at home.

Jeng ! Jeng! The Piggy That Ate A Chicken!

The Piggy stomach. The opening "ceremony"

Really "swallowed" a whole Chicken!

And have some sweet tasting Gingko too.

This dish is really special. It taste a bit like Salt Baked Chicken plus Pork stomach Soup. This is a must try dish for those who love these two things.

I tried a bit of the "soup" and I said got "cili". Actually it have pepper la.

This one also not bad. Happiness dish. "Hoi Sum" (sea cucumber) with mushroom. I love the gravy.

This round the Lobster was steamed. I ate the eggs white. Yummy..

the dishes here tasted very good. It was so good that I had 1 3/4 bowls of rice. It practically horrified Ah Mah seeing that I ate so much. She kept saying enough , enough...

Well, it really depending on my mood one la. Anyway, I was hungry mah. I did not eat much at lunch time coz I was excited about the trip.

Was surprised withe the complimentary dessert. It's Coconut jelly/pudding. Love it. Not too sweet. You know...what would enhance the taste more? Watercress nut. If they diced some and add into it, it would be prefect!.

Many thanks to Auntie Claire and Auntie Elin for bringing us to eat at this lovely restaurant. Hmmmm....just before we left, Mamarazzi spotted next table having a very interesting pumpkin dish. Hmm....hopefully maybe next time can go again and try out that dish.

Many thanks to Auntie Claire too for gifts all the way from USA. Really paiseh ....Thank you a million.
