Mamarazzi's Polka Dots Salt Baked Chicken

When we went to Tg Sepat the other day, we stopped by this shop near the Lover's Bridge Restaurant.

Mamarazzi saw this Salted Chicken Spices Mix. Bought it

It was a very simple recipe. Just need to "massage" the powder on to a Kampung Chicken(Village Chicken??) that weights around 1kg.

But Mamarazzi did not follow the instruction. She got a normal chicken from of of the hypermarket. Used half to "experiment".

Masssaged in the powder and marinated the chicken overnight.

The next day, she took it out of the fridge and put it into the aluminium foil provided. Added some Dong Guai slices and plenty of Gei Zhi.

Wrapped it up and steamed in the rice cooker for an hour as per instruction

Jeng ! Jeng! Polka Dots Salt Baked Chicken! Who wanna try? I dare not coz I don't wanna have polka dots.

But Papa and Mamarazzi ate. Said it's not bad. Just that the meat was too soft. Overcooked. Probably because Mamarazzi used normal Chicken instead of Kampung Chicken.

Then next day, Mamarazzi did the same thing with the other half of the Chicken and gave to a friend. This round she steamed around 40-45 minutes instead of 1 hour.

Feedback from friend, it was good. Chicken meat not too soft. Enough "liu" and "soup".
