Deletei think basically to sweep their tables clean of eraser "scums" (errr, what do you call those thing that comes out of the eraser after you erase your writings on books??)

Meow, I have that in my house too. That is used by my girls to sweet the eraser wastes after doing homework. But, it was bought and gifted to the girls by Papa.
