Papa and Mamarzzi came to fetch me after my class some time last week. Papa had to pick up something down town.
Well, since we were some where near KLCC , Mamarazzi said might as well go to Ampang to have Ampang YTF.
I was grumpy as I was tired and hungry.
Found the YTF shop and we were lucky to found parking right in front of the shop.
Mamarazzi saw this Roast Duck stall right in front of the YTF restaurant.
Cheap leh. RM32 per duck. They also sell "Chu Chap"(mixed pig internal organ). She went and bought one duck.
This is half a duck minus many pieces that Papa and me ate.
Here are our 10 pieces of YTF.
Eh..I don;t wan Chili ya. The two of you eat the Chili okay. I want to try the roast duck
Very meaty.
Mmm,.....
Ngap ngap ngap...
MMm...it's really delicious. Even Mamarazzi who is a very picky roast duck eater also said it's as good as the Petaling Street Roast Duck. That is a really high praise from her.
The duck was salty and wet well marinated. Love the taste of the spices.
The duck tasted so good that Mamarazzi can't help "tapau" some more for a friend to try out.
RM32 a duck is certainly very cheap. Just too bad we stayed too far away or else can come her often to buy.
The Roast Duck seller said that the stall is open daily except Monday.
Mamarazzi also ordered a bowl of "Sui Kow" (Dumplings). Unfortunately, she had grown accustomed to dumpling made of pork instead of fish paste. However, what I can say is that they put in generous portion of fish paste into the dumplings.
After "makan" Mamarazzi went to the toilet. It's a unisex toilet. The toilet door was half opened. It is natural that she push open the door, right?
She got the shock of her life when she saw the toilet was already occupied by a man doing "small business". What the !!!!...a grown man go toilet not bothering to lock the door!! Nutcase! some more wearing tight white T-shirt and tight pink pants!
Even the worker at the restaurant also scolded the fella when he came out! There are all sorts of people in this world.
Famous Ampang yongtaufu... Have heard about it for years and years...but have not tried. Nobody to take me there mah!!! Me, so kesian! I love roast duck too!!! Sobsssss!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteSTP
DeleteNext time come over and stay longer. Not nobody take you there. Not enough time to take you there

SP
DeleteI think you are right too. One of these days must go try out the Puchong ones since you recommended it highly. Saw many blog praise that one too

ReplyDeleteLIna
DeleteI rather eat YTF and the roast duck only lor.
Looking at the anak kucing eating there, aiyoh... sure make me wanna go eat pulak!
ReplyDeletebut i think that shop is non halal lah.. you gotta find some other places to have your YTF, hehe~~
DeleteSK, maybe Lina will make her own YTF leh. She is pretty handy in the kitchen.
DeleteI beli YTF at pasar malam only lah... lazy to make my own. xD
DeleteLina
DeleteIf small family hard to made own YTF also. Cant have too many variety of vege.
wah, so kepunan want to go have YTF after seeing all those blogs and chatroom?? hahahaha.. this meow is sure easily influenced by food~~ :D
ReplyDeleteYa wor, SK
DeleteNow feel like wanna makan fried pisang pulak...haiz....
sounds familiar lah this YTF shop.. i think there are a few famous YTF in Ampang.. there are two side by side next to each other, and i think this homeland is in another area right??
ReplyDeleteYes, the two of the side by side. Last time we went to the other shop. This round we try out this one. The next door shop isng Yang Yang or something like that
Deletewah, one whole roast duck and before you even have the chance to take a photo, already left just less than half a bird?? maybe because it's too delicious, haha~~
ReplyDeleteNo la SK. Bought one roast duck but asked them to split into two packet. was planning to freeze one packet. while the other packet is for immediate consumption
Deleteaiyah, just 10 pieces of YTF ah?? haha, so little only where got enough?? i can already have like 6-7 pieces.. so how much is a piece of YTF there ah??
ReplyDeleteSK
Deleteenough lo. Saja wanna lepas gian mah. Plus the 5 sui kow and the roast duck leh. already a lot jor. Duno how much wor coz Papa pays while Mamarazzi went to tapau half portion of duck some more for friend
hahahahaha.. i think it's not unusual that guys don't really lock the door when we do "small business" lah.. but for sure "big business" will definitely shut the door lah..
ReplyDeleteSK
DeleteMoh kau chor ah...restaurant wor,. If at home then understandable la.
normally inside the gents toilet lah, some don't close the door when urinating in the cubicle.. but then if a unisex toilet, then better shut the door lah.. so not polite if not closing the door..
ReplyDeleteSK
DeleteThe restaurant only have one toilet. So really terkejut when saw him standing there lo
so that guy is young or old?? handsome or not?? hahahaha.. if ugly one sure meow scold lah.. but if handsome one, somemore wearing pink tight pants, sure meow secretly stand behind and peep~~ wuhuhuhuhu!!
ReplyDeleteSK
DeleteThink mid 20s la. Wanna stand there and see some more ah? Cabut lari lor. The workers asked what happen. Told the lady. The lady scolded when the fella come out from toilet. The guy pretend tak tau only went back to sit with his group of friends
Small Kucing knows how to enjoy food. Very good for him. And he takes duck too. My kids refuse duck even though it's roasted. They prefer chicken or pork.
ReplyDeleteWenn
DeleteIt depends on individual la. some really dont like duck coz for them got "sou mei".
I love that YTF stall at Ampang and I seldom get good parking spot! You lucky Meow!!!
ReplyDeleteFirst timer luck, TM
DeleteI seldom eat ducks as most of them smells bad. I prefer the roasted goose (Pei Pha Ap) which is deep fried crispy with honey coating. Heavens!
ReplyDeleteYa some have bad smell but for us this one is lucky no bad smell. Pei Pha Ap very sedapoh but hard to find if compared to roast duck
DeleteThose days we seldom eat duck at home our old folks often say got 'poison'. But now it seems every corner is selling duck meat even road side as well and the meat is so tender as compared to those rubbery days. Now where does the 'poison' gone to in this generation?. In this era people just simply whack and quack later?
ReplyDeleteNow all the poison got diluted by the enviromental poison. Dying from enviromental poisoning is more possible than duck poisoning
DeleteMeow, you have to wash your eyes with Eyes Bath Lotion. You saw his python or not? Like Amazon or not?
ReplyDeleteYan
DeleteNo see python or anything lo...cabut lari lo
You didn't like the YTF? This is where YTF started in KL - Hakka YTF. It's not halal because it has minced pork inside the taufu and salted fish - typical of Hakka YTF which Ampang originally is a Hakka village (Yap Ah Loy days).
ReplyDeleteThere are two shops here side-by-side. The one on the left started first.
I haven't tried the duck though. Must give it a try since it's recommended here..
HS
DeleteNot dont like la. It was okay lor but the Roast duck steals the show lo.
OMG....kena cuti mata jor.
ReplyDeleteLing
DeleteLOL
Luckily now we no need to to all the way to Ampang for YTF :P
ReplyDeleteChoi Yen
DeleteLOL...ya lor but since we were around there lo might as well try out lor
you went out looking for "duck" and u got a pink duck.....what more could you ask for?
ReplyDeleteI went looking for YTF la. Mana tau that pink duck appeared. No need to buy numbers alsoready
DeleteYum, the roasted duck looks so tantalizing and inviting. Would love to try out.
ReplyDeleteNava
DeleteToo bad we stay so far .
I can't believe you walked in on a guy doing his business! I would have totally freaked out!
ReplyDeleteChritina
Deletesigh....that is the reason!! It's freaking weird
Hahaha! That's so funny. U really make me laugh...
ReplyDeleteShirely

RM32 for a duck is really cheap ! I love roasted duck. We also had YTF during the Hari Raya holidays. Went to Ampang and it was packed like mad ! But I enjoyed eating in such places. haha...
