Adoi...nearly no supper leh. Went wrong timing. Didn't know that most hawker shops around that round closes on Wednesday.
However, saw this stall was open
Oh well.....Just buy some and try out la.
MeCoy, this is called Apong. It's made of flour, sugar, coconut milk and eggs . Very crispy.
Kuih Ketayap....also made of flour, coconut milk but this one the "skin" is soft instead. Got coconut inside.
Here is how it look like...taste sweet.Ahem..very sorry ya at the poor presentation.
Crossed the road to Beng Heong Sdn Bhd to buy some tidbits to snack in the hotel room. Surprisingly Papa said the Tambun biscuit from this shop taste nicer than some of those famous shop.
Went up the hotel room to eat. I polished off the Apong as Mamarazzi was bathing.
Kena Mamarazzi "kick out" to buy some more Apong for her... but of course she had to follow la....while we were at it, Papa "tumpang" to buy Kuih Kak.
If not mistaken, this Kuih Kak is called Fried Carrot Cake over here in the Klang Valley. Only one stall was open that night. Cheap...don't really recall the exact price but it was around RM2.50, I think.
Hmm... a bit too oily for Mamarazzi so she didn't eat any. Papa gets to finish it off .
While Mamarazzi was enjoying her Apong, I was enjoying the tidbits that I managed to bodek Mamarazzi to buy for me.
Had a pleasant surprise just now ....I was doing my homework and Mamarazzi drafting this post, we were surprised when the door bell rang.
What was more surprising is that when we opened the door, we discovered Mr Poslaju Man was at the door. Oh y goodness.... it was nearly 6pm leh.......so hardworking!
Was wondering who sent parcel to us...aiks!!! it was from SK...SPAMMING Prize from SK's blog...fuiyoh...super efficient leh....result just out this morning and by6pm the prize arrived!
Thank you very much, SK. It's not about the prize. It's more of the nice chat room you have created there and your generosity in sharing IT know how about blogging.
Where did you all stay in Penang? Very near the eateries? Haha, Small Kucing did not leave any apom for Mamarazzi so everyone has to go out to buy again. Next time, please remember Mamarazzi when eating, ok?

Deleteyalor, sometimes weekdays very risky to go for food hunt because most of the shops and stalls choose to close on either one weekdays.. but at least still got something that you can buy for supper lah..
ReplyDeleteya unless you know their off days dates. Some lagi teruk as they have no fixed date where they will be off
Deletei like apong and kuih ketayap!! look nice and huge in portion, and i bet not too expensive also right.. see the kuih ketayap, the inti so much inside hor?? and the kuih kak also very cheap RM2.50!! here in KL at least RM4 already..
ReplyDeleteportion ok la.
DeleteRM2.50 is the normal ones..no seafood
i used to like kuih kak, but then very rarely can find nice ones around nowadays.. all cut cost and use very little good ingredients.. the cake has more flour than the carrot, and they gave very little beansprout and "choy bou" that is why not as nice already..
ReplyDeleteThere is one selling that In Seri petaling and SS2 pasar malam....nice one
Deletehehehe, of course efficient mah, i have planning one.. also want to send out before Anay flies to Shanghai, but then celaka the postman delivered them so late!! only you received the next working day.. i thought of giving surprise mah, like you just read the post and immediately later you dapat hadiah.. but so disappointed, they spoilt my plan!!
ReplyDeletePandai!
