This is another back dated post. Papa have been saying for a long time that always eats Nasi Briyani outside...can cook at home mah...Very easy one....
Oh ya...verrrrrrrryyy easy......googled the recipe...it seems that everyone have their own "recipe". Very confusing la.
Well, the first time Mamarazzi cooked...it end up in the rubbish bin.
Small onions, ginger and lemongrass(not shown) blend them together.
Heat up some ghee and thrown in the cinnamon stick, star anise, cardamon, bay leaf and clove. Thrown in the blended ingredients and the chicken.
As Mamarazzi's Rice cooker had gone nuts...refused to cook if there is oil in it...so Mamarazzi had to steam the Basmati rice with the ingredients.
After the rice is cooked, just added the cashew nuts and the jumbo raisin... Gosh...didn't know Jumbo raisin is so expensive leh. One small container of 170gm jumbo raisin was around RM10. No wonder Nasi Briyani selling so expensive.
Hmmm...it turns out quite good la....Papa said need to put more salt. Oh well.....maybe next round will be better.
It looks quite good from the picture!!! =]
ReplyDeletelooks can be deceiving :p
DeleteYes, look yummy from the photo. Good that your 2nd try turned out fine.
ReplyDelete1st time try really so bad meh? Need to throw away - so sayang.

Deleteyes it was that bad....like a dump of ahem ahem

DeleteUsed rice cooker to fry? Didn't add water? Sure will not cook lah like that...I think.
ReplyDeleteFried in the wok and put into the rice cooker to cook with basmati rice. Hv ample liquid but rice cooker sotplug. Refused to cook when have oil.
DeleteI also wanted to try cooking nasi biryani. Wait lah, some many things to cook :)
ReplyDeletehahahaha...but not enough mouth to eat right :p
DeleteOk, later go home try and learn this. But eat too much nasi briyani I heard easily get fat. Now think want to cook or not? Hahaha
ReplyDeleteerrr....eat a bit lor....once in awhile should be ok la
Deletei like mamarazzi's attitude when it comes to cooking.. always very experimental (and never gave up), always very creative and always very spontaneous.. that is actually what makes cooking fun right?? :p
ReplyDeletehahaha pakai hentam lo since Mamarazzi kitchen not well equip
Deletedid mamarazzi use basmati rice?? the rice looks like our normal cap rambutan rice only, hahahaha~~ what rice cooker you have huh?? like a young lady only, sikit oil also must reject one ah?? hahaha~~
ReplyDeleteyes basmati rice....there are long grain ones though doesnt look like it here
Deletelooks good woh your version of nasi briyani, next time if you have more time to waste, make colored rice for your briyani also lah, haha!! and i think maybe paparazzi is more "chong hao mei" that's why he complained not salty enough, but to mamarazzi sure nice already??
ReplyDeleteya lor....not that no time to waste but more of want to get the right taste lor....next time baru make proper one
Deleteyalah, raisins are quite expensive now lah.. i buy raisins regularly for my breakfast mah, of course i bought cheaper ones lah, not those jumbo ones you bought.. one tub 500g already like RM14 lah, so sometimes i buy the hypermarket own brand, cheaper~~
ReplyDeleteis it??? hahaha see...mamarazzi jakun betul doesnt know raisin expensive
DeleteYeah, I also like to hentam whenever I cook. Usually pasta more easy to hentam, I got it right everytime. However other stuff I'm not too good at cooking. Didn't know raisins could cost so much. Anyway, got experience now, next time should be better lah, right?
