First meal in Penang was at Kedai Kopi Yi Garden, located at the junction of Jalan Macalister and Lorong Selamat.
So many people queue up to order food from this stall...hmm...must be something good ya... Hentam just point and order la.
Turn out is this....looks like Cantonese Fried Bihun but with a lot of ingredient. RM5.50 a plate.
I like.....
While eating...have to have drink la...
Also had some Fried Oyster. Not bad. RM7.
There was a stall selling Wan Tan Mee. Seems to be very popular too. Ordered a bowl If not istaken it was RM4.50.
Fuiyoh...the Wan Tan really BIG. In it was meat and a whole "biji" of prawn instead of minced.
Also some lobak
And Satay.... The satay was a bit sweet for our taste.
Overall, love the Wan Tan Mee and the Cantonese fried Noodle.
could see why so many people waiting for the yummy food!
ReplyDeletecertainly was yummy
DeleteThe prices there "sama-sama" with KL prices. I don't think I have eaten at this shop before. Maybe next time I go Penang, will go to this shop.
ReplyDeletedo try out....
Deletestill yet to find the noodle you mentioned before.
Yo, see how lil kucing grab his glass of drink? hehehe... His expression like Kung Fu Kid!

ReplyDeletei think this coffee shop should be one of the more popular ones among the locals right?? dunno lah, deja vu, seems like i've heard about it before.. hahaha!!
ReplyDeleteso that fried noodles is actually cantonese style?? i thought it was some very famous CKT, hahaha!! Penang mah, sure must have CKT right?? but turn out the cantonese style also looks not bad at all woh.. RM5.50 considered cheap compare to KL lah.. KL now single portion at least RM6 already..
Deletethe oh-jien and loh-bak both look good!! very yummy lah.. i think oh-jien is paparazzi's favorite right?? everywhere he sees that he sure will order that, haha.. the oyster looks big and puffy, sure very fresh and "burstfully" juicy inside..
Deletethe wantan mee is different from what we have in KL.. we have char siew and wantan, but they have chicken, mushroom and prawn wantan!! not bad not bad.. and that wantan is so huge, is it better than the pian sip you have tried before?? hehehehe~~ :p
DeleteFamous one ah? Sister CKT supposted to be at the same road to it wor
DeleteMe too ...coz saw many people Q up and they tapau many packets...thought its some new food but come out its Cantonese fried but very nice

DeleteOh My Goodness! I have eaten in that place many times but I didn't know its name until today. I realised how ignorant I have been. However in Penang, we usually call the coffee shops by the road names or beside tong sampah, beside market drain, under the tree, T-junction shop and macam macam etc.
ReplyDeleteya i know....over here too...normally call the crner shop...the noodle shop
DeleteI love the wantan mee here...and the sar hor fun too! Hehehe
