The rain was most welcomed as it was very hot when we left Penang.
Arrived Ipoh quite late. Found a hotel and check-in. So tired...exhausted....snore snore snore till more than 8pm.
Finally dragged ourselves up to find food. Bad weekend. Looks like everywhere was full of people.
Ordered Hor fun and Chicken . Papa ordered fried bihun for himself.
Gru gru gru gru...tummy playing drums....only 3 waiter cum cashier working . The rest were in the kitchen.
Our drinks too a long time to come.
Interesting looking flower tea for Mamarazzi.
Papa's plated of Fried Bihun came first.
After Papa finished the Fried Bihun, the rest of the food still have not arrived. Notified the waiter.
Wait wait and wait.....still no sign....called the waiter again. He said their ran out of chicken . Need to wait half an hour. He asked if we want to cancel .
We were quite famished at that time. Hence Mamarazzi told Papa just ask them to serve the noodles first while pending the chicken.
Another 15 minutes wait...our noodles arrived. This one for Papa
And this, I shared with Mamarazzi.
Noodles finished...yet no sign of the chicken...it had been more than half an hour after the waiter told us they had run out of chicken and more than a hour since we came in and ordered. ...end up we decided not to wait anymore. Just cancelled the order and went back to the hotel to rest.
It's not the restaurant fault. Guess there were just too many tourist and they did not have enough staffs and food to feed everyone.
Saw the waiter put the sign "CLOSED" at the door and yet people were still coming in. But one good thing about it all is that the three waiters that were on duty did not show "black face"(Scowl/unhappy face) to the customers.
But it's still ridiculous, how can they run out of chicken???
ReplyDeletecoz it was Cheng Beng weekend ...too many people
Deletewell the drinks seems so refreshing
ReplyDeletetho the serving was kinda too little i guess?
That is the usual thing around here
Deletewe often eat fried bihun whenever someone
ReplyDeletein our neighbor was celebrating birthdays
it was said to bring long life for the celebrant haha
it's the easist to cook
Deleteno chicken? that was indeed kinda disappointing haha

ReplyDeleteno fever but exhausted coz didnt sleep whole day
Deletefor sure a lot of people lah that weekend, cos many people went back for Ching Ming lah.. so that was just one random shop you found with less people??
ReplyDeleteya lor......every shop also a lot of people....so hentam one lor
Deleteaiyoh, service so slow and chicken sold out?? hahaha.. but at least the waiters and waitress still polite and didn't "black face" lah.. if service is friendly then i think i am still okay~~
ReplyDeleteYa at least no show "black face". Funny rniugh I think they work till no time to react with miidy face at all...like chicken chop off head
Deletethat day we went to a restaurant, so packed with people and we waited like an hour before our dishes were served lor.. but then okay lah, the dishes all very nice, so after eating also didn't feel annoyed already~~ :D
ReplyDeleteat least you still managed to get food la
DeleteNever go to that area during weekends next time! :) It is always crowded esp during the festive season. If you like the chicken one, go to Ipoh Garden Kam Hor... one elderly couple will serve you.. but one tip though, bring along your ipad or newspaper while waiting.. but then it is worth playing with your ipad... the chicken is smooth and scrumptious.. much better than the Loe Wong!
ReplyDeletehahahaha live and learn :p
DeleteCheh I thought you came to Taiping when you mentioned 'Taiping is the town that have the most rain in Malaysia'... Then I was thinking how dare you din't call us up for a meet up! (Haha kidding la!)
