Can relax with a cup of coffee and cream puffs.
The Coffee for Mamarazzi la. My exam...Mamarazzi more tension than me....adei...
Was in Puchong some time ago. Dropped by Puchong Yong Tau Fu to tapau some YTF. Hmm....The fried Fu Chuk and Tau pok taste nicer when we eat at the restaurant. When come back home the fried stuffs no longer crunchy
But the rest of the YTF still taste great. Super love the soup. Sweet from all the fish bones.
Also tapau their Chee Cheong Fun.
That was what we had for dinner that night.
On an unrelated issue....past few months Mamarazzi noticed these super big Brinjal flooding the markets. She bought two to try out. Not cheap leh...Was around RM4/kg. These two already cost RM3+.
Fried with minced meat and oyster sauce. Taste like normal brinjal leh....so what is so special about these ya? Maybe Mamarazzi not cooking it right? Does anyone have any idea how to cook these ?
I love cream puffs and coffee! It is Mother's Day here, when is your Mother's Day, do you have one? So glad your exams are over! When is school out and how long is summer break? Here, the kids go from September till June.
ReplyDeleteI think the brinjal should taste the same except it is fatter so it can be used as vegetarian burger patty to replace the meat.
ReplyDeleteooo vagetarian burger....hmm...good idea wor....might try one of these days

DeleteHi, Hope you all are doing fine... My surgery is over and I'm gradually feeling better. I've had a 'rough' weekend with the pain--but with each passing day, I am getting better....
ReplyDeleteThose Rutabagas are popular in this country... One recipe I know of is: Toss 1 large peeled and cubed rutabaga with 3 tablespoons olive oil, and salt and pepper on a baking sheet. Roast at 425 degrees F until golden and soft, 40 minutes. Toss with 1/2 teaspoon apple cider vinegar and chopped parsley.
Hugs,
Betsy
Thanks for the recipe Betsy. will try it out.
DeleteSpeedy recovery to you
Forget that last recipe... I gave you the wrong one. What you showed is an EGGPLANT (not a rutabaga) --and is popular in our country... To find a good recipe, click here:

ReplyDeleteprawn paste? never tried before leh
DeleteI teach you Thai style Brinjals dish. Just cut them into slices and roast over fire or wok before dipping them with tempura-style flour with eggs & fry. They are ready to eat with sambal and you will arrive heaven's door.
ReplyDeletewahhhh really ah...must try out then
DeleteI loves Chee Cheong Fun, but brinjal, no thank you...
ReplyDeletewhy leh
Deleteyalah, must eat there baru nice lah those YTF.. unless you go home and fried them again lah, else if tabao sure becomes soggy one, cos wrapped inside plastic bag got vapor and sure will soften the YTF lah.. but then i rather eat the soggy one than to eat it deep fried again.. reminds me of the mother of an ex-colleague, she said fried chicken very heaty, so she will steam the KFC before eating at home, haha!! :p
ReplyDeleteyea lo but cannot eat there coz was hal tank. so thought tapau home then empty tank liao can eat lo
Deleteoh, brinjals big and brinjals small?? hehehe, of course Uncle SK doesn't know all these things lah.. he tau makan saja.. those two cost RM3+ ah?? errr, how much are normal ones?? to Uncle SK RM3+ is not expensive mah, hahaha, because eating one plate of brinjal outside also like RM10+, and YTF one piece of brinjal (with little bit of fish paste) also RM1+..
ReplyDeleteaiyo cannot la compare eating out side. apple compare with apple mah... LOL
DeleteI would cook the brinjal like that too. Or maybe cook yong tau hu with it??

DeleteWas at the Kota Kemuning branch but we ordered order dishes. Not to bad. You ask me about the brinjals; all the types is almost the same but need some good flavors.
ReplyDeletehmmm.....gotta see how many ways to cook brinjal.
DeleteThat's the brinjals we get here in Australia. We call them eggplant.
ReplyDeleteMy husband loves having it sliced to about 5mm thick, sprayed with oil, and bake/grill in oven. Flip n spray with more oil on other side. Season with salt n some black pepper. Yummy! They are just in season now too!
