Hmm...what to give my teacher's for Teacher's Day leh. Mamarazzi garu kepala. Last year gave fruits with pen and the year before was Famous Amos cookies.
Planted some Basils in the empty cans.
We have colorful Japanese Roses too. Well, maybe give them these too? She planted extra as some may not bloom on Teacher's Day. Just select those which will be blooming la.
For me....poor me...had to do the most work.....spent whole afternoon writing little notes .
Mamarazzi made them into little flags.
Yesterday was Teachers Day celebration in my school.
Jeng! Jeng! Jeng! each teacher gets one can of basil and one can of Japanese Roses. Plonked into the basket that Mamarazzi weave from recycled magazine. Really
Japanese Roses are also called "Ten O'Clock Flowers". That's why when Mamarazzi snap photos early in the morning , the buds was not "open" yet. Hopefully my teachers likes the flowers la.
Ah Mah was worried that the Teachers may not know how to eat basil but oh well....maybe if they don't eat Basil, they could pass it to those who eats leh.
Nice gift!

DeleteFamous Amos cookies the year before? Mahal wei.. One packet of cookies, 100gm, already cost like RM8++.. Takkan you buy >10 packs (if there are >10 teachers?).. Wah, you so "foot lou" wei.. Last year fruit+pen? I think I remember.. Oranges tied with a red pen kan?
ReplyDeleteYesterday when you asked me to guess what will J bring to school, I was thinking of your coloured-candy-glass-tinted cookies.. You made a lot right? I saw you posted in FB.. I thought you will pack the cookies in a jar or put in transparent wrapper.. Ooohh mana tau, give plants.. Not bad wor, go green..
They will be celebrating today.. Class party.. I ordered cupcakes from my condo's home-baker.. I "mou poon si" bake like you la, so I just ordered from people.. I remembered I saw your post on orange cupcakes with buttercream icing.. You baked and let J bring to school, the kids finished more than half.. I no time bake lor, and not expert, later bikin malu, so better order from people lor..
thought wanna give that but.....change of plan

DeleteWow, so sweet! I have loads of jap roses too, i love love love them! You've got great ideas... so can I pinjam this idea for next year TD? Hehehe...
ReplyDeletecan can :p
Deleteactually this is a good idea Mamarazzi.. instead of getting cupcakes or muffins again from the parents, Uncle SK finds this go-green present for Teacher's Day a brilliant idea.. and the plants look nice too in the can and also the magazine basket!! awesome~~
ReplyDeletethink most parents will be giving that
Deleteand so thoughtful of Mamarazzi to think of different kind of presents to give the teachers every year.. i guess many mommies out there will just bake cupcakes or muffins or cookies every year for the teachers, haha, probably just different flavors lah.. but Mamarazzi really contemplated and get the most unique ones for the teachers.. love that effort!!! :)
ReplyDeletenice handwriting from Small Kucing this time too, ahhh, he must be writing that with lots of care and love, and the little flag of note actually looks cute lah.. i love that quote: "Roses for your table and Basil for your meal", haha, now who came out with this?? it's a smart quote lah.. and who cares what the teachers will do with the plants?? either they eat it or they just place it on table for decoration, give them already means work done right?? :p
ReplyDeletekena Mamarazzi scold leh for bad writing...bad ones throw away
