We have pass by this restaurant many times and each time when in the evening though all the rest of the stalls had closed, Mamarazzi saw this stall selling Curry Puff still open.
And many people are buying for this stall .
Got curious so one day few months ago, papa stop by this stall and Mamarazzi got down to get two piece of curry puff.
Saw got the Ho Chiak sticker there and some newspaper posting.
Huge curry puff. If not mistaken it was RM2.
Mamarazzi like the flaky skin. Me too. Quite a lot of fillings in the curry puff. Hmm....looks tempting hor...Maybe Mamarazzi can try her hand in making the curry puff? But how to make the flaky skin ah?
MYR2 for such a big curry puff is indeed value for money. The curry inside is not spicy isn't it because Small Kucing does not like spicy food but he likes this so I guess it is not spicy and hot.
ReplyDeleteyea not that spicy....mild
DeleteSlurpsssss!!!! I go KL, you buy for me, can? I like...but I prefer baked ones, not so oily.
ReplyDeleteerrr...duno they have baked punya or not...saw these are fried punya
DeleteWah, the moment I see the word curry puff I must read first leh.. I love curry puff too.. Everytime if pass by those roadside malay stall, sure I will eye for their curry puff.. But I usually go for their karipap sardine.. Wah, I tell you, heaven !! Whenever there is any malay roadside stall ahh, I sure go see-see-look-look see got any karipap sardine or not...
ReplyDeleteThis karipap you are talking about, izzit in SS2? It's located inside a kopitiam with individual food stalls one izzit?
seldom have karipap sardine nowadays.
Deleteyes that one
wah, many people buying the curry puffs, and is there long queue?? some stalls once the stuffs are ready for sale, the people will come like a swarm of bees to attack and within a couple of minutes, the stuffs are already sold out, haha!! i hope that that "bad" with this stall?? errr, bad for customers but good for the boss lah, haha~~
ReplyDeleteyea lo...money come for the boss
Deleteoh, i like this kind of curry puffs!! love the flaky skin and this is really huge!! but was that Mamarazzi's hand or Small Kucing's hand?? if that was Mamarazzi's then the puff is super huge!! RM2 is not expensive lah like that.. nowadays those basic curry puffs at stalls also 40sen a piece, this is like 4 times bigger, so the price is reasonable lah..
ReplyDeleteyes....sedap lor this karipap
Deletebigger than Mamarazzi's palm leh
and can see the fillings, chunky potatoes and chicken pieces!! errr, do they come with egg wedge inside?? i know Mamarazzi didn't like egg perhaps so she opted for the PM version (hehehe, you understand what i mean).. nice leh, i peep at the curry puff once again, would like to try one..
ReplyDeletegenerous with the liu lor. Otherwise sure no customer wanna buy at that price
Deleteand now i read the title again, HOMI.. oh, i remember this!! this is also available in MV, ah, i have tried that before, really nice woh.. but then it's RM2.70 a piece in MV, this one outside the restaurant at RM2 is so much cheaper leh.. now can prove that the rental in MV is super expensive, haha!! :D
ReplyDeleteYou wanna know how much to rent a stall at MV ah? hehehe
DeleteHungryyyyyyyy!!!
Deleteyeah, why not?? so that if i wanted to open one in MV, i have an idea too :D
Deletewhich floor you want? LG most expensive. Somewhere in the middle cheaper. ;)
DeleteThat high price ah over tghere? It's near the Tony Roma there right? pass by before but tarak notice the price
DeleteThe curry puff is so big leh, I think I had once before and one is full already, hehe!!! =]
ReplyDeleteone is enough for Mamarazzi too
DeleteIf i see many people buying, i will be curious and go buy and try out, hehe...
ReplyDeletesame here lo
DeleteSulk sulk, you didn't buy and pos laju over, sob sob...
ReplyDeletehow to poslaju la....grow mushroom leh
DeleteUsing egg I guess. My karipap version didn't add egg, so the skin runs smooth. So I guess egg makes the texture like that. Some people twist the dough and cut it first. That's why there is another version of Karipap, Karipap Putar.
ReplyDeletewow...nice leh...one day i wanna try
DeleteThe only time I buy these is when I'm at Midvalley in the evenings, when they're selling them at a discount.. I don't know why I brainfarted and forgot these were from SS2...

DeleteThe curry puff is so huge and only RM2.00!!! The seller labelled the price wrongly or Mamarazzi had blurr eyes!
ReplyDeleteMaybe mamarazzi lenglui so the seller charge her cheaper * perasan mode* LOL
Deleteyalah, maybe mamarazzi "electrify" him until he wrapped the curry puff double the usual size :D
