Alamak...where to find sushi at Ah Mah's house la?
After we zoom zoom back to KL and a bit of "bodek-ing" , Papa brought me to have sushi at Sakae Sushi.
I wonder how they make this sushi punya.
It was a few days before school session ends . Principal said have to wear sport shoes for School Concert and mine already "open mouth" like crocodile.
We dropped by Sushi King for a bit of makan since it was just next to the shoes shop.
Wa.....ice cream...for me?
Mamarazzi just wanted warm green tea. Was surprised they give her a tea bag, a cup and one big jar of hot water. Good.
My Kiddie meal comes with wasabi...no I mean with Yakult
.
Some ginger which Papa loves.
Something something roll...Think Mamarazzi made something like it during the Mother's Day Contest in Armada Hotel two years ago.
Me enjoying my bowl of chawanmushi.
Some fried stuffs....yea yea...forgotten the name lor ...Mamarazzi not familiar with Japanese food leh.
She ordered that Safest thing for herself...rice..*LOL* Only had the meat and the salad. Didn't eat the bean and the sour sour stuffs.
For me, I enjoyed the fried stuffs too on top of the round round rolled up thingy. Now I pandai eat already lor.
Sake sushi is much better than sushi king.
ReplyDeletefirst time to both outlet.
DeleteWow, Small Kucing is becoming a foodie already. Yum yum sushi. So did Paparazzi eat those food items that Mamarazzi did not eat in her bento?
ReplyDeleteYup....ate bit here and there
DeleteI think I've been to Sakae Sushi for like 2-3x during my lifetime, and also to Sushi King for like 1-2x only. No kidding. Not really familiar with Japanese restaurants, and the only (three) places I ever been to are: Saisaki, Shogun & Jogoya (company dinners)..
ReplyDeleteMost kiddy meals come with either Vitagen or Yakult.. In Craving's the kiddy meals come with Vitagen.. And that day, we went to this Japanese Ramen restaurant in Jaya Jusco, also the kiddy meal came with Vitagen..
Fuyoh, I forgot to take picture only, the bento set for kids is in a Hello Kitty plate leh! So the very cute you know.. Kiddy meal consist of: fried rice, sausages, fried sotong balls, tomato sauce, 1 Vitagen and 3 cubes of jelly.. All served in a Hello Kitty Plate, very nice presentation..
same here la.
DeleteReally ah...so cute leh with Hello Kitty plate./ But for boys same ka?
Yep for boys also same using pink Hello Kitty plates... Sigh should have taken photo the other day.. Look so 'hoi wai'...

Deletesushi king and sakae sushi.. errr, i think have not been to these chains for a long time already, and total up i think not more than 10 times also in my lifetime, haha!! heard they did not keep up with the standard lah, but after so long, i wonder if they have improved already?? now they give you one jug of hot water and a teabag?? i remember last time they placed the green tea powder there, and we get the hot water from the dispenser below the sushi belt..
ReplyDeleteThe one from Sakea was they put in a jar and refill for you. Taste a bit burnt but friend said some japanese Green Tea is like that one.
DeleteThe Sushi King gave teabag and we sendiri refill
orh, i think the burnt smell is because of the rice they used to mix with the green tea.. memang like that one dei~~
DeleteBurnt rice???
DeleteYou tak kasi tau Mamarazzi dunno. Really ulu lo. No wonder smell burnt la
hahaha, SAFEST thing?? what did Mamarazzi mean by that ah?? the things there not nice ke, or mamarazzi was chosy about Japanese food?? errr, bento is nice lah, every time going to a japanese restaurant, i sure order the bento set, one price and can taste everything mah.. and i will finish everything in my bento lor.. Mamarazzi doesn't like the pickles and the beans?? they are nice mah~~
ReplyDeleteThe Safest thing coz can "recognise" some of the thing la. Others all japanese "language" leh. Tarak tau apa barang itu. And they have noodles. Not so fond of that lor
DeleteSushi King has its bento set.
DeleteIf I go Japanese restaurant, the better ones; I would check out their set menu or what's call in Japanese, Teishoku.
Much "posher" sounding than bento. Macam makan bekal to school only. LOL
But of course, teishoku not served in trays like the bento set.
DeleteBy the way Auntie Lina has a few of those trays... last time rajin to use. Now lazy to cook and serve fod in it already. :P
huh?? all in japanese meh?? i thought there is also English description on the menu??
DeleteEnglish words la but like teishoku bla bla bla..really blur lo.
DeleteRaimie likes Japanese food. Can take out the tray and start making lo. He so helpful in the kitchen. Maybe terbalik one of these days he will surprise you . Tell u sit down and he make for you to eat. :p
fuyoh, Small Kucing now pandai eat Japanese like Auntie Lina already huh?? look at how he savored that prawn tempura, wow, yummy yummy huh?? and "the fried stuffs too on top of the round round rolled up thingy", errr, not even pandai eat, but also pandai to describe thing.. so what is that actually ah?? Uncle SK tarak paham lah, hahaha~~
ReplyDeletecome come....you treat me makan japanese food and I'll show you what is that :p
Deleteis it something like fish cake, one slice like that then got pink spiral pattern in the center??
DeleteSomething like that. .fuiyoh u so familiar with the thing leh
DeleteWhen I had sushi every time I wanted to have a meal set, but the thing is I can't finish all......so I always got to choose the single dish one....!!! =[
ReplyDeletehave to go with friends then can share lor.
DeleteI see some wonderful dishes. But sushi is never in my list as fav.
ReplyDeletenot Mamarazzi's favourite too but sincei got this craze....oh welll
DeleteGot Sushi King in Sibu also, no...thank you.
ReplyDeletehahaha why....
DeleteThis Wealthy Food Mayor will not eat this cheap skate sushi. Wakakaka
DeleteI used to be crazeee with sushi and ate so many plates. I did not realise that it was so fattening as the small bites distracted my worries. These days i just stare at the rolled rice and imagine it's my plate full of nasi.
DeleteSakae Sushi has different quality of Sushi and I have no words of comparison. Of the 2 I prefer Sakae Sushi for its very good services & hi-tech menu! Next time Anay wanna feast with Kaldip there!!!
Deletenobody invited him to go together also, why say no thank you?? wakakakaka~~
DeleteMak oi 10plates?? No wonder say fattening la.
DeleteAll along mamarazzi thought Japanese food most healthy food coz not much oil.
Sakae is quite popular in SG, & I'm sure it's the same too over there. Prices are quite reasonable; great to bring kids there!
ReplyDeleteSeems that they tie in with bank.. if pay with bank card will get extra discount
Delete*Slaps High-five* I love Japanese food too, yums! =) However, I think Sakae Sushi seems to have deteriorated a little these days, not sure if it was the outlet I frequent or the same elsewhere?
ReplyDeleteNot sure about the quality deterioration but service was good at paradigm mall. But friend went to the one in subang parade said service below par. Slow and mixed up kids meal order
DeleteI always craving for sushi one. Like having sushi meal once a week, if not cannot tahan. In KK, we only have Sushi King, Sushi Tei and few local Japanese restaurants but not Sushi Sakae. Tried the one in Fiesta Mall Setapak, really nice and I miss Sushi Sakae.
ReplyDeleteFiesta? Festival City is it? Have nit been to that one
DeleteNormally I'll choose Sakae Sushi if compare with Sushi King :P
ReplyDeleteEach have own merits :)
DeleteSo long I didn't go for sushi, you just tempt me to try it out!
ReplyDeleteI bet the ones you make taste better
DeleteLong time I didnt take sushi so I dont mind taking them too ... my girl nowadays never yearn for it.. I wonder why...
ReplyDeleteSure or not? Maybe busy pak tor
