After having by the beach, we went off to see sunset on the other side of the island pulak.
It was still early. We stop by the "playground" and Uncle Anton rented "beca" for me to play with. Hmmm....Mamarazzi also never saw these before. The passenger seat in front instead of at the side or behind.
My first passenger!
That "beca" was a bit small for me....me more adventurous...want bigger "beca" ...can bring two girls "gai-gai_ at the same time.
Next...who wanna "naik" my "beca"?
But pretty soon, I had to stop coz the adults wanna snap photos of sunset by the beach . No photo here of me coz I was pouting.
As it was near dinner time, uncle Anton bring us food hunting.
Wahhh....the restaurant very clever wor...once seated they put a plate of these on the table.
It's something like Pulut Lepa.
We had "chicken" rice. I had the ayam goreng(Fried chicken) though it doesn't looked fried. Portion just nice for me.
Papa had the rib set. It comes with rice
and tempel
Uncle Anton who is accustomed to the food there had the ribs with extra bird eyes cili paste .
Mamarazzi had their Bebek Set...Bebek is duck. ...Forgotten the way it was cook but taste good. well marinated and not "ducky" smell.
The set comes with so many things leh...soup , ulam(uncooked vege), cucumber, keropok and cili. Service was fast and friendly.
Not that pricey also as the set price ranges between Rp13,000 to Rp28,000 depending what meat and way of cooking you choose. That is around RM4 to RM10 per set. Cheap.
Not sure where exactly is the location but it's at Tanjung Pandan, Belitung. Google search found there is one mention of the restaurant with address as Jl Gegedek 29, Tanjung Pandan Belitung. Tel 0811 7 111010
What a cute little bicycle-thingie.... The 'beca' is adorable. I'd like to be the passenger and let someone else push me around... ha
ReplyDeleteGreat food also.
Cold here this morning. Was MINUS 2 about 6 a.m. Yipes!

Betsy

DeleteSekali pandang the title ada SS word, ingatkan kat SS2 pulak.. Oohh, we are still in Belitung yer?
ReplyDeleteAmboi, J boy looks like Mat Romeo hero naik beca fetch two cutie pies leh... Eh, just for posing or he betul betul ride the beca? He strong enuff to move the beca meh, with two passengers inside wor.. Wah, I see also heart pain leh..
You mean J boy was pouting coz the adults wanted to snap pictures of sunset, thus he could not ride the beca izzit? Uncle Anton also very kind ma, got time layan the moodiness, or maybe Uncle Anton didn't wana layan so much, but no choice only, as a host, must layan everything, kekeke.. I so bad hor say like that..
Amboi food again.. Oh I tot this time, Uncle Anton's wife will cook a feast again and bring together to enjoy while the sun sets.. Makan kedai yer this time? Good also la makan kedai.. "kon sau cheng keok".. No need to wash plates and dishes and clean up oil splatters, kan? If I'm the host also, I will bring you guys out to makan la, but I myself will cook 1 or 2 times only lor.. Mafan tau, if everytime cook ourself.. Makan only takes 20 minutes.. But cooking takes a few hours..
Hmm, J boy's portion of fried rice is not very big, just nice for him lor.. He finished mou? Eh, nasi bebek? Bebek sounds like a hamsap word, hahahaha..
SS not subang jaya there also have menh?
DeleteCan move leh the beca. Both girls very light aje.

DeleteAhhhh! The sambal belacan is killing me, plus the fried tempeh.
ReplyDeletehahaha...bet that place suit you well . Calm and wonderful island
Deletewe have those tricycle here in Malacca around the red house, but of course those are not mini size for kids lah.. the tourists will sit in front and the driver will be sitting at the back and then kind of explaining the history of the places as they passed by.. but this one for the kids are really cute lor, haha!! i think mamarazzi manage to squeeze in that small seat and let small kucing bring her around lah :D
ReplyDeletehave but the cycle is at the side right? Not at the back.
DeleteUncle Anton really a very nice and patient person huh, only he will go and entertain Small Kucing especially when he's being moody.. mamarazzi tarak peduli but just want to go and see the sunset quickly, hahaha!! but the fishing also didn't last long lah, it rained suddenly, maybe the sky also want to rush you all to leave quickly~~ :D
ReplyDeleteya lor...the weather changed so fast leh
Deletehahaha, good or bad?? once seated and you were being served with that plate of thing, errr, i guess it was already charged but claimed to be complimentary?? aiyah, we all know the gimmicks lah, but then if nice then never mind lah right?? but some places over here, you bring back the thing and can ask for refund, because they charged you beforehand, but if i did not consume then it's right for me to get back the money mah..
ReplyDeleteThat pulut thingy it's something like, you eat one pc they charge one piece. If tarak eat they tarak charge lo.
DeleteSimilar to telur rebus and prepacked nasi lemak in mamak shop . If eat they charge .
oh, bebek!! i remember having bebek when i went to bali many many years ago.. i think should be the same thing lah, they call it bebek denggil (something like dirty duck), fried till very crispy outside and juicy tender inside.. and yeah, the dish also came with a lot of condiments and sides, i think must be a very famous dish in Indonesia other than ayam penyet huh?? wah, bird's eye chili paste for Uncle Anton??!! oh your kucing, that must be fiery!!!
ReplyDeleteThat one was Bali right?
Deletea lor Terror Uncle Anton. Cant eat so spicy
The portion looks small, aren't?
ReplyDeleteportion just nice lo coz got other things
DeleteI had bebek betutu in Bali too but I think it's a bit different. It's duck and there's a place that's famous for it!
ReplyDeleteI've seen it in many styles (black, stewed to crispy, golden). I've never been to this island in Indonesia though, how interesting!
been to Bali. Didnt eat that bebek but had the oink oink guling .
DeleteMuahahahaha... the beca is so cute and made me laugh!! Hey just play play only and don't end up become a Beca Man in future ok.
ReplyDeleteeh maybe future no more beca lor.Got rempit only
DeleteAll the food looks familiar and I remembered eating most of them. They were delicious and well cooked by the Chefs. I ate them all over Jakarta and Bali. Your mamarazzi is good that she remembered the names but I didn't even bother to ask when my hosts ordered them. It's my loss.
ReplyDeleteMamarazzi also tarak know the name. cant remember but lucky have snap photo of menu. so with the photos on the menu can agak agak which dish is which la
DeleteNow I recall that in few restaurants at Jakarta, I noticed that when we sat down, they would bring out 10-20 dishes to place on our table to choose. From there my hosts would take their pick. Their eating culture is so unique and hard sell.
ReplyDeleteNasi Padang Restaurant is it? Not hardsell la. Guess it's their practise. Mau makan apa ambik sendiri
DeleteCute beca! But cannot take me, too heavy already, LOL!
ReplyDeletei think can take leh
DeleteSmall Kucing so siok..Brought two little gals in beca. Hehehe
ReplyDeleteLOL
DeleteLooks like you guys have awesome foods in Indonesia. Besides Nasi Padang, I can't remember what I had in Jakarta xP

DeleteOh. They have small trishaw for kids to ride too? Not bad.
ReplyDeletePulut lepa. Taste like it??

DeleteLooks fun riding around in those tricycle! Mmm...... I've not heard of that island.
ReplyDeleteooh...not famous for tourism maybe
DeleteIs the beca really made for children to play with? Small kucing is so strong, can cycle with two girls in the beca.
ReplyDeleteI like ducky taste. Duck meat with no ducky taste I don't like. Earn money here can go there to live since so affordable, hehehe. So nice of the Uncle Anton to layan Small Kucing.
yes for children.
DeleteUh oh, he's picking up the girls already!;)
ReplyDeleteThe "beca" so cute, must be very mini size!!! =]
