Homemade Popiah My Way

This happens last year. You still remember Mamarazzi posting about Homemade Ipoh Salted Baked Chicken

It was during that period which I was a bit choosy on my food.

Mamarazzi cooked a few dishes and among it was Ju Hu Char(jicama fry with carrot and dried shrimp.  Papa said he wanna eat popiah la.

Shredded some cucumber and fried eggs...

While Papa having popiah I also wanna eat popiah la. Mamarazzi said okay. So I made my own popiah. Mine, I added rice. Then Mamarazzi added some meat and other stuffs in my popiah pulak.

Wrapped everything together....

Weird Popiah but...

Not bad la...she said can "trick" kids to eat their vege and meat at the same time.

  1. I like to eat popiah very much. So convenient to eat it with everything wrapped nicely inside but preparing the ingredients take a lot of work. Mamarazzi is really good to make popiah for the whole family. Yum! Yum!

  5. Eh, title said homemade popiah but the first picture is baked chicken pulak.. First look at it macam roast chicken with herbs la.. Like Kenny Roger's chicken like that.. Read on more, oohh, Ipoh yim kuk gai.. Chicken when roasted in the oven for 1-2 hours will be very very tender, soft, moist and juicy.. Even the breast part, that's what I like about roasting a chicken (or baking) in the oven..

The title already enuff to make me drool and wana read more.. Ooh, this time make popiah ahh? I very lazy lor when I think of making popiah.. Coz immediately I think about the shredded vegetables and all.. Malas lor.. But in order to make our kids eat and hoping that he eats, ok la, how sanfu also must try to cook varieties for him kan? Just like me..

Wah, inside add rice timm.. Honestly, not a bad idea, like you said, can trick kids to eat.. The trick is to let them hands-on sendiri wrap the popiah, then it will "smell & taste better" if they hand-made it themselves, thus, they will eat lor.. Very good idea.. When my boy is old enuff, I also wana let him hands-on in meal preparation, then hopefully he will eat what he has prepared lor..
