What Would You Do?

End of last month went to a furniture shop to get some book shelves for the library. This was the display unit.As can be seen, all are grey in color.



 When the three shelves came, only one was fully grey. The other two, only one side was grey

 Not even properly "glued" 

 There were scratches on my wardrobe too

Rough handling by the lorry driver.

Papa lodged a complaint and the replaced the defective wardrobe and the shelves. Second time, still the same.

The salesman apologised and said the second batch of the bookshelves are all "glue" one side only.

Adoi.....why bikin tak serupa rupa one....In the end, we rejected the shelves and asked for refund. Luckily the refund was not slow.

No more buying from this shop.......

  2. These days such defects in things we buy seem very common. Don't give up and make your move until they replace you with what you are satisfied with.

  5. that's some bad quality shelves... we got one from Giant for 99 bucks... not bad la the material and fixing it ourselves wasn't that hard :)

  14. aiyoh, so lousy finishing and also careless handling of the delivery.. somemore the actual delivered units are so different from the display set!! must complain kaw kaw dei..

  15. first time still can give a chance for them to replace lah, but second time also like that then really no hope already.. better ask for a refund and go elsewhere lah.. errr, which shop?? :p

  17. I bought a huge wardrobe from CavenXXX and they gave me some doors which could not close. I sent them back and replaced.

  18. Later I bought a new single bed that comes with the coconut husk mattresses with pull out bed and bullied them into giving me FREE 6 quality pillows! In the end they delivered and assembled the bed. A week later I only realised that I kena conned by them!!! The pull out bed below could not be raised up! CB!

  19. The shelves in the first pic looks like light brown to me, not grey. Maybe something wrong with my eyes? Anyway, I won't accept the different coloured shelves also...plus workmanship is so teruk. Luckily u got back the refund. For good bookshelves, you can try looking at Red Apple. A bit pricey but they are very sturdy and good. Won't "bend" due to weight of the books.

  21. The glue part if its only that small portion can kow thim by adding glue but the scratched part beyond repair. The transporter is not a responsible person in handling the goods. Thought they should have some thick brown paper sort of a protection. Lucky you got your refund.

  22. Luckily they refunded you and didn't force you to choose other furniture. Really bad finishing and rough handling by the transporters. BTW, which shop you bought frm..mind to share?
