Durian Seasons is here and Bodek Prince is on the Prowl

It’s Durian Seasons again. Have you been having Durian non-stop? Mamarazzi can see in Facebook many of her friends posting up photos of Durian Feast.

A month ago, we were at Paramount Garden Night Market. Spotted this Durian stall next to Restaurant O & S. Fuiyoh …it was crowded with people. They were selling the normal kampong durian at RM2/fruit

Musang King was RM13/kg only.

Mamarazzi have been eyeing durian for quite sometime…being the “bodek kid” I am, I pulled Mamarazzi to the durian stall and told her to buy her favourite durian.

Instead of Musang King she opted for the “cheaper” ones. RM20 for 3 fruits. Told the man she wanted the bitter ones but the man said all are sweet durians. No bitter durians.

But surprisingly, I tasted two out of three fruits which he “opened” were bitter. Very bitter. Goody!.

Now….where is Papa…..come pay money!

That night, I even trimmed Mamarazzi toe nail for her….Mamarazzi was wondering what I am trying to “bodek”….

The next day, I had a surprise when I came home from school. Somebody sent me an “eye”. Yup…it was Auntie Tantoot. Thank you very much Auntie Tantoot for the "eye" .

  19. SK, what did you think of the 'eye'? Was going for educational when getting it but after reading the comments, hehe, can also be a reminder that Mamarazzi is always keeping an 'eye' on you too! :)

Yeah, Mamarazzi, sweet but bitter-rish durians are the BEST!! From the comments, seems like ppl think the durians only taste bitter. It's actually bitter-rish sweet or sweetly bitter, haha.

    Enjoy the makan fest!
