Restaurant Leong Ya Indah 梁雅(女), Balakong

This restaurant have been around for a least two decades I think. If not mistaken , it was around before Mines Wonderland was even built. Before that it was just a small shop where Mines Shopping is nowadays. Then they moved to Taman Sg Besi Indah and opened three outlets.

It has been ages since we came to this restaurant. The last round we came was 2010, I think with my Uncles or was there another round with Isaac and family while chasing the Big Bad Wolf Fire Sale at South City Plaza? Even that it would have been back in 2011 or 2010.

Anyway, we went there again last week on Monday with Uncle Arthur and family.

Parking was rather hard to find. Hence we went into the restaurant first while waiting for Papa to find a parking space.

Ordered some Yong Tau Foo. Too bad doesn't have Bittergourd.

"Paper wrapped Chicken" ...certainly different from Sibu paper wrapped chicken

 The unwrapping ceremony . *LOL*

 Makan time!

Nice or not the "dome" I made?

"Four Heavenly King"....so long never had it with petai....many restaurant don't put petai in this dish anymore.

Seeing Mamarazzi and Uncle Arthur snapping photos, I also wanna snap la.

Complimentary soup of the day. Lotus root soup. For Mamarazzi this is a new way of cooking Lotus root soup leh. They added peppercorn into the soup. Kinda weird in the beginning as Mamarazzi was accustomed to sweet Lotus root soup instead of a tad spicy but it grows on you. I asked for more soup.

How good is the YTF? Well....not bad la. The fried stuffs was crispy. But I suspect Mamarazzi likes another shop better.

For me, I don't care. I makan aje. I like the soup.

Here is the address if you wanna try out the YTF.

No 26-28, Jalan Dagang SB 4/1,
Taman Sg Besi Indah SK 4,
Balakong,

    2. Four Heavenly King is my all time favourite but even this simple dish needs a good chef to fry them well and fragrant.

Petai. I never like it. In Kuching, not many restaurants serve petai, so we don't get to eat it much.
