Are you a big fan of ballet? I dunno if you are a big fan of ballet
or not la... but since my school concert, I like to go on stage whenever I can.
I would copy people dancing from television show and "perform" my own dance.
Yesterday while browsing, Mamarazzi spotted announcement that "Coppelia -The Girl With Enamel Eyes" will be in town. It's a ballet performance. She asked Papa whether we can go to watch it coz said it would be a good exposure for me.
Yeah...I can heard some guys snickering out there...what? ballet? Guys in tutu? Yoh! This is a cultured performance, okay.
It is about about star crossed
lovers, a mad inventor and a life sized doll. Coppelia, a romantic
comedy that will enchant the hearts of the young and old. It will be staged
right here in the Istana Budaya, Kuala Lumpur this 6 & 7, July 2013.
Coppelia
revolves around Franz and Swanhilda as two promised lovers. Coppelia is
the mannequin creation of Dr. Coppelius’s mystical workshop.
She sits on the balcony everyday and Franz becomes enchanted by her beauty, much to Swanhilda’s dismay.
A
cacophony of mischief takes place in the mystical workshop when
Swanhilda and her friends sneak into the workshop, Franz climbs through
the window and Dr Coppelius returns. Surprises unfold and true love is
united. Sounds interesting? I wanna go watch. Wanna join me? Err...hope they wil allow me to go in la.
If you
want some relaxation and fun, come and join me for the show. Here is the ticketing details for the ballet performance.
Tickets are priced at RM 50, 90, 120, 160 and 200 (with a RM 3 surcharge per ticket)
Tickets can be purchased from: ticket2u.biz (Tel: 03-414 78600)

ReplyDeletehope to if can get tickets for him
DeleteI love musicals and ballet performances too! :)
ReplyDeleteThere's RM 300 tickets too but those are all sold out. In fact, for the Saturday show, most of the seats are sold out! I could only see a sea of red with a few good RM 160 seats.
I can't make the two times though, it'll be great if they had Friday night in addition to a matinee Sunday performance.
yeah...too short of a notice. Now trying to get 3 tickets. Hopefully able to get.
DeleteLike what you have said they should have addition Friday night would be better.
Yup! I'm not a huge fan of matinee performances for some reason.
DeleteI like watching at night - caught a lot of musicals during my first two trips to London.
Let's go together! =D
ReplyDeleteHope to be able to get seats
DeleteOh my!!!! Don't tell me you're taking up ballet - wearing those tights with a big bulge down there. Blush! Blush! LOL!!!
ReplyDeleteBallet is a good form of execise as any leh.

Teachers always think negative one ke?
Your papa, of course, cannot lah... The stage will runtuh! Muahahahaha!!!!

ReplyDeleteSmall Kucing must experience everything and not be judgemental. learn and soak new experiences.
Mana tau, tiba tiba ini kucing suddenly want to sign up jadi ballerino pulak! ;)
LOL Ballerino...not bad leh... can let out all the extra enegry
DeleteYes, must expose Small Kucing to ballets... no more superman stints!
ReplyDeleteLOL....landed on the face :p
Deleteawww, i didn't know that small kucing likes to go on to the stage and then also copy people dancing from television show and "perform" his own dance.. hehehe, but i guess only mamarazzi would be able to see that?? :D
ReplyDeletehe sure like to "perform". No stage fright nor anything
Deletehahaha!! guys in tutus?? of course this would be something totally different right?? at least more artistic (in a serious way) i would say, hahaha.. :p
ReplyDeleteyea....completely different
Deleteyeah, it would surely be a nice show and great performance!! everyone should go and watch, and if you see a botak kid running around in the theater, don't panic, that will surely be Small Kucing.. and you should also hear mamarazzi shouting at him from 100m away~~ :D
ReplyDelete*horrified* they would kick me out from Istana Budaya. No playing leh...have to behave and sit still
DeleteI also love ballet but to go and watch the show is a bit troublesome for me. I certainly enjoyed looking at all the pictures.
ReplyDeleteThey have video too in Youtube
DeleteBallet performance! ! I want to watch! I want! I want!
ReplyDeleteIt has been my dream to be able to watch a full ballet performance. All my life I have watched them rehearsed and rehearsed for many hours only. It is not easy to be a ballet dancer as they have to watch their daily diet and exercise their flexibility to perfection before they can dance beautifully.
Deleteso did you go and get the tickets? It's selling fast.
DeleteMe not a fan of ballet at all, so don't think this is my cup of tea, sure bored to sleep.... hehe..
ReplyDeleteAm sure this would be fun
Deleteballet reminds me so much of black swan haha
