Keropok lekor oh keropok lekor...where can I find keropok lekor.
Yup...go back KT don't eat at least once k.lekor is like "incompleted"(as per my teacher's word)
Lazy to drive all the way to Losong and Kampung Tok Beng. So just go behind Ah Mah's house la. There is one stall selling all sorts of fried stuff named Pisang Goreng Warisan Bonda. If not mistaken, it's located at Jalan Engku Sar, opposite to some flats.
One of Ah Mah's favourite ...Pisang Gored(Fried Banana). But nowadays she seldom take coz it's oily.
Oh well...once in awhile okay la....Bought some Fried Bananas and some freshly fried Keropok Lekor. Papa bought two packets of fried noodles.
RM2 of fried Banana. Hmmm at least better than at home. Here they slice one banana into half and fry. At home, they slice the Banana into 5 thin slices and then sell 5 slices for RM1. *horrified*.
For RM2, can't get this much a home. Here at least there are 5-6 pieces. Not sure coz Mamarazzi didn't ask.
Yummy Fried keropok Lekor...RM3. so much!!!
As for the noodles...hmmm....normal la.
Came home and Yee Poh came and gave me two BIG mangoes and some dried Keropok. Yums....am soooo lucky....next stop.....oh welll...have to wait for next week.
Happy weekend to everyone!
Your Mamarazzi eats so much and stays so slim till now. I told you that I suspected she always Korek her throat after meals. So geli la! Phiak this pussy!
ReplyDeletegot cacing in her perut
DeleteThe fried Keropok lek or is damn cheap for RM3. So much la!
ReplyDeleteyup....a lot
DeleteI had never heard of fried ikan pari. I believe it should be nice! I am sure Mama Kucing will eat the stingray clean if she bought them. Cats loves ikan pari.
ReplyDeletemamarazzi loves all kinds of fish, and in any form.. see, isn't keropok lekor also made from fish?? hmmm.. maybe it's because she eats so many fish that she can still stay slim~~ anay should eat more fish!!
DeleteMe too never heard of fried pari. Wanted to try but then bought so much already . hence maybe nex time la.
Deleteya...keropok lekor is from fish but i like the fried ones not boiled one
Fried stingray? Normally it was grill... unique.
ReplyDeleteya...tu la special Tak pernah nampak
DeleteDownload Backstreet Boys' song - Incomplete...burn on cd and give to your teacher....
ReplyDeleteNot a fan of those fried stuff. Ikan pari? The ikan bakar ones in Penang soooooo nice! Not the ones here - maybe not fresh, smell of kencing... Don't like. My landlady in Kuching in the 70's used to cook curry with it - very nice too. It was very cheap then.
DeleteHmmmm.....but dont this teacher can hear it as incompete or incompleted or not leh... :p
DeleteTea time mah....once in awhile ok mah...
All fried fried... never mind..after eating, drinking oats to take away the oil-ly-ness....
ReplyDeleteYou do that too? Oats can take away the oily-ness
DeleteOat.....errr....no thank you :p
DeleteHappy Weekend...

ReplyDeletesame to you :)
DeleteIt'll probably be another 20 years before I ever have to go to KT. But I'm intrigued by the deep fried pari. Mmm...
ReplyDeleteLOL...by then everything would have changed. The place is hanging day by day even now.
Deleteme too...maybe next time go back then can try the pari .
hahaha, keropok lekor is mamarazzi's favorite huh?? but Uncle SK prefers the thin crispy type than this fat chewy type.. but this much at RM3 is actually cheap huh, i think in KL only 2-3 pieces for RM1?? i dunno, never buy that, but nipis one are 5 for RM1 i remember..
ReplyDeletesometimes crazy about it sometimes not la...very cheap lor...
Deleteoh, i remember KT is also famous for the fish crackers!! comes in packets of RM2 each, ready to eat, not those uneven shaped and crispy ones we have here, but those KT keropok ikan are round and slightly bigger than 50 sen size, a bit hard but crunchy.. love those~~
ReplyDeleteyup...keropok sira ...a bit spicy ones and sweet too right? sisnt know yoyu like...next time get you some
Deletenow everything also expensive lah, but rarely buy all those goreng things already lah, oily and not that healthy.. is it?? they slice one banana into 5?? horror!! and that day i went to Brickfields, and was so shocked that the fried "nin ko" and fried banana are sold at RM1.20 a piece!! fuyoh, mak oi, so expensive lah~~
ReplyDeletenow you baru tau ah....Barang Naik Harga long time lor
Deletehehehehehe!! mamarazzi got TWO mangoes, one big and one small woh.. big one for paparazzi to taste, and small one for small kucing to taste~~ one person one no need to fight.. kekekeke :D

Deletenot really malay snacks la...more like everything or.,.... cheap also at certain places
DeleteYum! I remember ordering goreng pisang at Madam Kwan's. Crazy idea, I know but they turned out pretty good because the bananas were ripe ones.
ReplyDeleteNice mangoes.
Madam Kwan??/ must be pricey...but nice okay lor
DeleteGoreng! Jangan tak goreng..ahhaha
ReplyDeletemuhahahaha
DeleteGot a friend in Penang making ton$ of money selling goreng pisang and know of another man being frying pisang for donkey years still earning a meagre living in our small ulu town. Guess the purchasing power of bigger cities is greater so are the prices compared to small kampungs.
ReplyDeleteCity they sell rm1.20 a pisang people also will buy...but if kampung they will ask you ji gei sik la.
DeleteJust imagine in our kampung you can bring your own duck egg to add-on to the fried keow teow. If the towkay allows the public to bring their own keow teow think people would go for it haha.
ReplyDeleteerr.....KL certain place can bring own duck eggs for CKT .
DeleteLOL...wei only you can think of bringing own keoy teow ler

DeleteMy Hubs has tried a lot of different things but I don't think he has ever tried stingray. Isn't it a stingray that killed Steve Irwin when he was floating over it in the water during a TV show?
ReplyDeleteyup...but these are tiny stingray...
DeleteThe weather is too hot for deep fried food, take care of your family's health :P

DeleteBeen very long I never had pisang goreng. That was since the papers announced some time ago, some hawkers put straws to fried it in order to make it crispy. LOL
ReplyDeleteno la....dont think every vendors does that. maybe one only then give whole industry bad name
DeleteI remember eating goreng pisang with soy sauce and chilli sauce (!!!) in JB. They said it's very common to do that there.
ReplyDeleteSome people do it in Sarawak as well but it sure is an acquired taste.
I do like the KT style keropok lekor though! :)
yup...but Mamarazzi biasa eat without the cili sos.
DeleteIn KT too they have it with cili sos
I prefer the mangoes than the fried stringray. Good finally you managed to buy keropok lekor.
