It had been quite some time since we last came to Temerloh for Ikan Patin. Usually we went to Kampung Bangau by the river bank but today Papa was tired.
Hence we just stop by the main road and buy from one of the stall by the roadside. According to Aunty CC, the price is usually more expensive RM1 than by the river bank .
Which one to choose? Tilapia and Patin both same price...RM14/kg.
Patin la.....bored with eating Tilapia fish.
Boss....I want medium size one ah...Don't want too big coz a lot of fat.
The boss very kind as they will kill clean the fish for customer. All wrapped up nicely for the journey.
While waiting...I saw this....
Ikan Salai(smoked)....
First time seeing this....Mamarazzi wonders how to eat this.....you need to cook it or just eat as it is....
After the long journey, Mamarazzi lazy to cook. Hence we bring the fish to Restaurant Crown Palace to cook.
Papa wanted Sweet Pea with garlic....was okay la though some of it was rather old.
True to the recommendation....Mamarazzi like this dish very much.
Jeng~ Jeng~ I want my rice to be "round" .
Another recommendation by the Captain....Beancurd with mushrooms. Where are the mushrooms? Hidden under the beancurd la.....
Yums....I like it very much.....Love the gravy from the beancurd dish....
Finally...the Ikan patin....steamed ...with fried ginger toppings. The fish was not too big. Just nice...not that fat too. Delicious coz it was fresh. No mud taste.
Price for steaming the fish...RM20. Mamarazzi was surprised at slightly higher than expected price but Papa said taste nice nevermind la. The price of everything in increasing everywhere. RM20 is okay la. Moreover he likes they soya sauce that they used. Wondering what brand.
Hopefully next time can get more fresh Ikan Patin from Temerloh coz I like Ikan Patin
The sweet pea dish and brinjal dish, my favourites la! Now so hungry looking at those dishes. It is about time to my lunch.
