Mamarazzi have been seeing a lot of this Taiwanese dessert online lately....It's ice cream in a flower pot....they usually stuck a flower on top to make it look like a plant.
She thought it would be nice to make this for my Funland Class but how ah....Ice cream will melt in no time. If use cupcakes, the cake may not be moist enough to keep the "plant" alive as she was planning to use mint. We have loads of mint.
After all the strands of jelly melted, add in the Milo...also "agak-agak" to taste la. then pour into cupcakes cups...put into the fridge.
Next morning before going to Funland class...took out from fridge and "decorate" it.
Put in the "soil" and "plant" the mint into the pot.
Don't you think it look just like a potted plant?
And our "Mint Garden" is ready to go...
Cupcakes?Errr....plan B ma...just in case they don't like the Mint garden.
wow.... looks so good ! Can poslaju to me? Mamarazzi really talented!
ReplyDeleteHow to poslaju dei.........LOL
DeleteMamarazzi very clevet leh.. Made oreo jelly and chocolate cupcakes.. The cupcake papers wont be soggy ahh after putting it in fridge overnite? I like the jelly oreo leh.. Very refreshing.. Eh if oreo alk need to take out the cream, may as well just use dark chocolate biscuits? Then no need waste the cream ma.. But I guess it wont taste the same.. If me ahh maybe I add the cream inside too.. No waste ma if noone wana eat the cream only..
ReplyDeletewah...1am still not yet sleep?
DeleteNo la..it wont go soggy coz the paper is quite thick. Never thought of using dark chocolate biscuit wor.
If add the cream, then the "soil" will not look like "soil" jor
Oh my gosh, these are adorable!!! And they look just like the real thing, a potted plant! I have never seen anything like it, now could you give me a big bite through the screen?
ReplyDeleteLOL...come come....it's easy to make. Bet Anne and Ella will love it
DeleteAhhhhh!!!! The current trend/craze. Jelly underneath! Great idea. They were selling with ice cream underneath at the food fest in Kuching (long queues!!!) and I hear they had pudding at the one in Sibu. Never tried, dunno nice or not.
ReplyDeletenah...just make it at home la...cheaper and easier....buy ice cream add oreo crumbs
DeleteDid you poslaju some to STP?
DeleteYes, small kucing has a mini mint pot garden! Great attempt by mamarazzi.
ReplyDeleteCan I have one pot?? ^^

DeleteThe mint garden looks pretty but the children most probably won't eat the mint or if they do, I don't think that they like the taste of mint so good that you have a backup plan.
ReplyDeleteNah...the mint is for decoration only. Dont think adults will wanna eat mint with jelly too

ReplyDeletecant seems to find the nicer cups that looks like pot. so hentam use the cupcake cup lo
DeleteMamarazzi is very creative wor!! Never thought of using agar agar jelly... but got one question.. when you pour the liquid inside the cupcake cup, the paper can tahan? Or is it that you put another plastic cup inside the cupcake cup? Very curious only... :)
ReplyDeletecan tahan coz the paper is quite thick . Just like the paper cups la that we buy drinks from.
