Lai Mien (Hand Pulled Noodles?) at Oasis Food Court, Midvalley KL

We seldom go to Midvalley as it's quite far from our home. Last December went there coz Papa bringing Ah Kong and Ah Mah for their quarterly check up at the hospital.

Since it's near Christmas time, Mamarazzi and me pun  cabut to Midvalley for a tad of Christmas shopping la.

They had flora or something theme last year. Personally, Mamarazzi doesn't feel much of Chrismassy with this theme. It looked very pretty but....

The Flowers arrangement was very pretty. She kept asking me to stand next to it to snap pic. But but.....they put floral scent on the flowers leh....Me don't likey flora scent.

Before start shopping...gotta fill the tummy first leh. Not yet 10am....walk here walk there...shop and makan shop not opened. Thought wanna eat Esquire Kitchen breakfast geh....RM5+ only leh...but the went there....dunno moved to where already.

Went up to the food court near the cinema....most have not open yet.....saw one stall opened...stood there for some time....figuring out what to order and finally decided...told the staff....mana tau the staffs said "Sorry no open. Not ready yet". Really a "GRRRRRR!!!" moment there lor...what lah....stood there so long looking at the menu, the staff saw us, cannot tell us ka? Have to wait we open mouth to order baru wanna say they are not open yet!

Walked to the other food court...most stalls also not open yet but the man from the Lai Mien Stall say us and with a very happy face call out "Yau Cher La Mien Ma?"(Wanna eat La Mein?)

Actually he was still preparing the noodle but the cheerful face really glitched the deal. Quite a few others waited for him to pull the noodles.

While waiting, Mamarazzi noticed that this stall seems to be famous leh. Got quite a few newspaper clippings featuring this stall pasted there.

And elderly couple also stopped by to chat with the man. From their Q & A, Mamarazzi got to know that they are Chinese Muslim from China. The man have many years preparing La Mien in China. Come to Malaysia to seek his fortune.

The La Mien in China is not the same taste as in Malaysia coz of the water. In China they use water from something something river/well(sorry ah ...Mamarazzi's Mandarin half pail only)...In Malaysia they cannot get that water.

Here is our bowl of tomato and egg La Mien. May not look much but....

There...loads of La Mien hidden under the soup. Very big bowl. Mamarazzi and me ate also cannot finish that bowl of noodle.

Taste. Mamarazzi likes it pretty much. For me.....it would be great if it's not spicy. Didn't know that it's spicy coz thought Tomato and eggs must be clear soup mah. Hmmm....must remember to ask before ordering next time.

  14. Ah I just went there last 2 weekends (first to order milk powder, 2nd to collect). Didn't like it though, way too many people around.

As for scent, I also don't like the strong rose one from Lovely Lace.

  15. I agree about shopping or walking about malls and hungers. Its the same with you. Nice bowl of noodles though I too seldom go to Mid Valley - cannot tahan the weekend crowd especially.
