Restaurant King Crab at Kelana Jaya

Wah haven't been to this restaurant for very long time already. The last round was on Mamarazzi birthday two years ago.

Very thirsty. Just came back from Pasar Malam.

Chinese Tea.

We were having dinner. Rice with some dishes and they gave us this free soup.

MMm.....it's good.

Smell very nice.

Slurppppp....

Can I have one more bowl? Mamarazzi asked the waitress and she brought me one more bowl of soup.

Had Sweet peas with prawns and mushroom. Prawns were very fresh. The sweet pea was a bit old for Mamarazzi.

Tauhu with Angle Gourd. Yummy. If Uncle Patrick was here, he would sure love it.

Eksyen. Papa eats rice with chopstick, I also wanna kaypoh eat rice with Chopstick.

Come King Crab, must eat Crabs lo. Butter Crabs. Taste wonderful according to Mamarazzi and me. Mamarazzi busy peeling the shells awhile I was busy eating the meat. Perfect match!

Crabbie Experiment Again- Herbal Crabs and Salted Eggs Crabs

Hari Raya we did not go outstation. Just drove around nearby only.

Saw the Indian Lady selling crabs again. Papa bought 1kg. 

Festive season gua coz medium size crabs increased priced to RM34/kg.

At first Mamarazzi thought wanna cook Salted Eggs Crabs and Steamed crabs. But then Papa suggested to add some Goji into the steam crabs.

Well, since we are adding Goji, Mamarazzi thought why not make it Herbal Crabs like those at Sri Petaling Steamboat Palace? Hence she throw in some Goji, Dong Guai Slices and some ginger. Too bad no "luk Chuk"

Into the Wok they went and about 10 minutes later, they are ready to be eaten.

While steaming the Herbal Crabs, she prepared ingredients for the Salted Eggs crabs pulak. Everything similar to the Salted Eggs Prawns.

Before that, Mamarazzi fried the crabs with oil first will it turned red. Took it out and proceed to fry the ingredient. 

Wokay...when the ingredients started to smells good, she throws in the salted eggs yolk. When they started to bubble, she throw in the crabs. Stir till the ingredients mixed with the crabs.

Then can eat liao.

Let me try first. 

The Herbal Crabs taste good leh but the Salted Eggs Crabs tak cukup masak leh.... The shell is red but the meat not fully cooked leh.

Mamarazzi lazy to fry them again. She stuffed them into the mini oven for awhile. Took them out and they were fully cooked now. Ahem....in this case that make it Salted Eggs FRIED Crabs or Salted Eggs BAKED Crabs ah?

Jom Bali at Tesco Mutiara Damansara

Selamat Hari Kemerdekaan to all Malaysian. 

Hmm....today Tesco sure have a lot of good offer.

We went to Tesco Mutiara Damansara the other day.  It was lunch time. Time to makan

I was not feeling well. A bit feverish and all that.

 Mamarazzi had this set lunch.

While I wanted to have noodle. When Mamarazzi asked me what noodle, I pointed to Hailam Noodle. 

Wah...very big plate.

Not feeling well, I ate a bit only. Even that little bit came out eventually all over the floor. Kesian the staff there had to clean up the mess.

Papa helped me to finish the noodles.

Meantime, Mamarazzi had the "Nasi Goreng Ketam" Said it's delicious. Got real crab meat inside of those "crab filament" thingy.

Also a refreshing twist on the Ice Lemon Tea. They added a stalk of Lemon Grass on it.

Sri Petaling Steamboat Palace, Seri Petaling Again

Earlier of this month we went to Sri Petaling Steamboat Palace at Seri Petaling. We had a great time the first round.

This round Papa arranged for dinner with his old friends pulak. Go to Buka Puasa Buffet sure very crowded and expensive. Cheapest would be around RM50++. 

Well, since we got such a great service from Sri Petaling Steamboat Palace last time, it was decided we go makan here again.

Auntie Little Bird was there too coz Mamarazzi wanna kejar hutang. Must kejar her till pants also tanggal. 

A friend got "Change of Plan" book, written by Auntie Little Bird. She asked Mamarazzi to help her get Auntie Little Bird's autograph. Must tell Auntie Little Bird tak baik to procrastinate. Hutang must bayar fast fast. Bring along signing pen for her already!

 Wah...today so many crabs!..

 I want one.

Huh...see only ah...cannot touch? Ya hor...later crab crab kiap my birdie fingers.

 This round we had Tomyam and Herbal Soup base.

Eh? Two only? What about me? Papa one, Mamarazzi one...me leh?

I thought I ganas. But Auntie Little Bird more ganas.  Haven't arrived yet, already tell Mamarazzi to order grill crabs for her.

Luckily after Papa's friends arrived, we ordered more crabs. Steam crabs and Grilled Crabs.

Aiks! what  happened to all the crabs just now? Gone into our tum tum? *Hope the taukeh of the shop don't read this post*

Noticed not many tables ordered the crabs. Maybe they didn't know it's included in the Buffet?

(Update 10/10/2011- Heard from a friend that now the crab is limited to one crab per person).

Actually we had other food also. Not solely crabs. Didn't bother to snap photos of the ingredient of the Steamboat coz have already posted about it last round.

This round we had quite a bit of fried stuffs. We choose and they fry for us immediately.

Otak-Otak. Papa and his friends had this. They said very good. Now Mamarazzi regret didn't eat this pulak.

The staffs grilled some prawns, fish and BBQ Chicken wings for us. 

Funny to see Auntie Little Bird's face eating the grilled Bamboo Clam for the first time. She saw the thing look rather ugly but the after a bite or two, she loved it.

Mamarazzi had a really tough time to collect all the shells to show you how much she ate. 

The staffs were very efficient. Unlike some other buffet steamboat restaurant, here the staffs saw our plates a bit full aje; they will come and change new plate for us.

 

Yay! can eat more.

I didn't eat much. Only ate a few bites of crabs and prawns. Also had 2 fishballs and half a sausage. I was busy eyeing the Ice-cream.

Finally had my bowl of Ice-cream.

While the adults were chatting, I went roaming. I came back to our table with a bottle of Vitagen. 

Mamarazzi asked where did I take from? I told her Uncle gave. If not mistaken, maybe it was one of the bosses or someone related to the restaurant. That Uncle got a cute little boy one.

She asked me if I had thanked the Uncle. I told her not. Mamarazzi pengsan-ed

They gave Loyalty Card. Get 9 chop and the 10th person eat for free. Not bad ya? They didn't charge for me though I exceeded the height. Maybe they saw that I didn't eat much.

The Children's Life of Christ-Happiness for a Blind Man

 "Happiness for a Blind Man" in the book "The Children's Life of Christ" by Enid Blyton was an eye opening story. It shows that Jesus have great heart. He have love and pity towards those who needs him. It also reflects that with enough determination, even a blind man can have his wish comes true.

Bartimaeus was the blind man. When he heard Jesus was nearby, he kept calling  out to Jesus to have pity on him although people around him were angered by his shouting. Jesus did have pity on him and cured him.

There was an incident that happen in a restaurant a few months ago which is eye opening for Mamarazzi too. We were having steamboat dinner with some friends. 

This steamboat restaurant were highly recommended in many blogs. They have grilled stuffs and things like that.

Gosh how to eat? Managed to open the claw. Not much meat though it was big. The meat was kinda too soft.

Anyway, something happen at our table while Mamarazzi was waiting at the grill for the grilled crab.

According to those at the table, nobody touched the stove . The fire at the stove suddenly stopped by itself for a few seconds.  Then suddenly fire just KABOOM shoot up from the stove. Everyone scrambled away from the table. 

The fire nearly burnt a friend's face. Her face redden from the heat. Another friend cut his feet when he rescued his son from the flames. Everyone were looking at our table.

The owners were there. The staffs were there. Surprisingly, none show much surprise as if they encountered this before. No apology was given.

We insisted to change table. The stove were replaced by another stove. This "new" stove also gives everyone the creeps. The rustiness and the tilting fire looks scary. Finally it was replaced abate reluctantly by the restaurant.

Don't they care for their customers' or even their own safety? The tank of gas could have exploded.

Mamarazzi won't name the restaurant here as she does not want the restaurant to blame this blog should their business decline in the future. Moreover, why give that restaurant "free advertisement" by rising its popularity in google?

One thing for sure, those who were at the table that day will definitely won't be going to that particular restaurant again.

Jesus care for a blind man who is not even related to him. Why can't the restaurant owner care for their customers' safety as customers are their paymaster?

Sobs..sobs...am so tired leh. I wanna sleep. Sleepy and moody.

No, I don't want Coconut water though Mamarazzi said it's good. I wanna sleep some more. 

Hence, I continued to sleep some more while Mamarazzi and Papa had dinner. It was more like supper as that time was already 9p.m. plus.

They had Kerabu Kaki Ayam again. 

Papa order some fried Tofu. Normally Mamarazzi don't eat fried Tofu coz it's oily and things like that. But then, Papa kept asking Mamarazzi to try a piece.

She tried and it was delicious. Not oily at all and taste great with the Sambal. 

Mamarazzi is still wondering how they fry the Tofu till it was like melt in the mouth and yet not oily.

They had some grilled Cockles. The size of the Cockles were super big. 

Mamarazzi had Salted Fish Fried Rice. She was surprised that it comes with a fried egg. 

She don't really fancy the Fried Rice as the rice was a bit too wet for her taste. She like fried rice which is a bit more dry and unbroken rice kernel.

 Papa had Fried Keoy Teow

By the time they nearly finished the dinner, I woke up from the short nap. Rejuvenated.

I went 'exploring' and saw the big box cockles and crabs. They have grilled crabs, squid and prawns here. Hmm...next time must try.
