There are quite a large Chinese community there too. Recently, many Chinese family restaurant had sprouted around the town.
When we were there, my Kaw Kaw's family lead us to this Uncle Ng's Restaurant. This restaurant have been around for more than 5 years but this is the first time we have been here.
Had Chicken cooked with spring Onions. I din;t like the chicken but I sure love the gravy. Yea...nothing to do with the Chicken but rather am lazy to chew.
Crab meat Tofu. Where is the crab meat? Well, Papa found it in shredded form in the gravy
Steamed Egg... I love steamed Eggs...Yum......
Soya Sauce Fish. The fished was fried then if not mistaken drizzled with soya sauce....errrr...not very sure ah...you know Mamarazzi la...all "agak-agak" (guess) one....
Angle Gourd/Loofah gourd. Was surprised that it came with so much seafood. Think they put in two Loofah Gourd coz some of it was hard and some were soft(young). Can't blame them coz it was Raya Haji. Market was not open.
Overall, food here was okay la. Normal. Lucky they don't have weird dishes that some restaurant cook up.
Here is the address, I think. Not very sure coz it was night time and Mamarazzi didn't notice the exact road name. Google it and found this address fro m Kangpungboycitygal blog.
50E, Jalan Tok Lam
20100 Kuala Terengganu
Terengganu.
Looks good! How do you make steamed eggs?
ReplyDeleteIt's easy. Just add same amount of water as the egg . Add salt to taste. Beat the egg. Then put into steamer and steam till the egg is cooked. Should be around 10mins.
DeleteAll ada gravy... I like food with gravy. hehe
ReplyDeleteSame here
DeleteFrom what I observed from day 1 I stalked your blog til now, I realized J boy likes 2 things, or J boy always makan these 2 things: noodles (especially with gravy like wat tan hor) and claypot taufu kinda thing (with gravy like the wat tan gravy type).
ReplyDeleteClever...noodles is the favourite. The taufu is the "forced favourite"
DeleteI am drooling over 2 dishes now: the crab meat tofu and steamed egg. Yes, normal and simple dishes, but it taste very nice and I love simple dishes like eggs and tofu (with wat tan gravy kinda thing). Hate vege though, haha.
ReplyDeleteSteam egg ok la. Easy to cook. Crab meat taufu headache leh. Hv to dig out the crab meat
DeleteChicken and spring onions sound really good to me about right now. I don't think I have ever tried the Angle Gourd/Loofah gourd. It looks good with all the sea food.
ReplyDeleteIf you have the chance, should try. The gourd is soft and a bit sweet
DeleteApalah!!!! Steamed egg, already started eating and then remembered to take photo, is it? Muahahahaha!!!!
ReplyDeleteSuper hungry mahhhh
Deleteerrrr, have not been to Kuala Terengganu before lah.. but you are right, in my opinion the place is more dominated by Malay but i guess in our multiracial country, we can have all kinds of food everywhere.. we are all Malaysian!! :)
ReplyDeleteTown more Chinese population
Deletei love spring onion chicken, surely very nice if they use chicken filet lah, cos i lazy to eat them with bones, haha!! better than Small Kucing lah at least, he was even lazier to chew the meat!! hehehe~~ :D
ReplyDeleteGot bones wor...la...you wait for kamala to debone for you la.
Deleteoh soy sauce fish?? was it the "yao jaam" fish?? yes, it's deep fried till crispy on the outside (still juicy inside) and then drizzle with some soy sauce (i think also add in some sugar and sesame oil to enhance the flavor).. if you go to Sin Kee at Brickfields, must order their "yao jaam waan yu", squeeze some lime juice on top, and very very nice!!
ReplyDeleteYa ya I think so yau jaam. Once in awhile eat this ok ls. Too much will be not good
Deleteeh, the steam egg looks good woh.. i actually like that too, simple yet delicious to go with piping hot rice.. and wow, that loofah gourd!! loaded with seafood dei~~ i wonder if it's loofah gourd with seafood or the other way round, seafood with loofah gourd!! haha..
ReplyDeleteYa lo... terkejut also see that dish. Seafood more than loofah gourd.
DeleteAll the foods makes me drooling...
ReplyDeleteLol
DeleteLong time no eat the loofah..eeh.
ReplyDeleteIndeed, it's quite surprising to find a Chinese restaurant with delicious food.
I like loofah gourd. Yum yum
DeleteFood looks decent enough. I try not to eat gravy nowadays cos old d and gravy has a lot of hidden sugar and salt in it.
ReplyDeleteSmall kucing so young already dont want to chew meat? Maybe he will grow out of it.
Ooo like that ka....
DeleteHopefully la ...
I myself also always think Terengganu has mostly Malay food, cause more Malays there, right? Don't know! haven't been to Terengganu yet!!! =]
ReplyDeleteThen, how you come to the assumption? LOL
DeleteHeard from people!!! >.<!!!
DeleteI like loofah.. so is the meal expensive? Love the look of the fried fish too.. macam crispy..
ReplyDeleteKL price lo. Yes the fish was crispy
Deletewah...your kaw kaw was so good at ordering yummy food... or did they look around to see what other patrons were having? :p
ReplyDeleteSee menu lo LOL
DeleteYalor hor... Raya Haji shops closes. They celebrate it bigger than Raya Puasa one.

DeleteOh well, I never think that there are no Chinese shops or restaurants there. Which katak under the coconut shells said so? Phiak his head!
ReplyDeleteRibbit ribbit :p
DeleteYou don't seem to like the dishes as I don't hear high praises. Why must the vege be hard if the market is not opened??? You meant old stock would be hard???
ReplyDeleteIf loofah gourd kept too long will be hard.
DeleteI was one of those who thought KT sure Malay food majority! Good to know there are actually many nice Chinese restaurants around! :)

ReplyDeleteOf course borong! Lol
DeleteHaha, I'm also one of those who thought that Kuala Terengganu = Malay community :P
ReplyDeleteDon't worry . Got Chinese good :)
DeleteThe first three were my favourite - it's like compulsory to order them but just sometimes chicken might be in different style. Long time never went Kuala Terengganu. So I also thought most of the population there are Malay =P
