I think she must be an excellent cook, you are so lucky! It can be hard to know how to save a dish from a mistake.
ReplyDeleteVery creative! hehe
ReplyDeleteSo J prefers steamed or baked? For me, both styles also healthy, no oil is used, right? The chicken tender and juicy mou when you took it out from the oven?
ReplyDeleteI can see it's a bit dry for the baked version.. If you steam, then more gravy.. That's why when I bake or roast chicken, I add in more marinade so that it won't be too dry afterwards.. I also like to add in a blob of butter for my roast chicken..
ReplyDeleteSo J boy prefers to eat it with rice or with popiah?
ReplyDeleteDon't think i saw seasoning for salted chicken before, must go look out for it...
ReplyDeleteGood morning,
ReplyDeleteMamarazzi is a clever cook.... God bless her.
oh!!! Uncle SK super duper love this Ipoh Salt-Baked Chicken, if he goes to Ipoh he always buy two boxes home.. one of the few things he will buy - chicken, heong peng and pomelo~~ :p
ReplyDeleteoh i didn't know they have the marinate powder to sell.. errr, actually salt-baked chicken is baked and not steamed right?? haha.. actually i have no idea.. Uncle SK only knows makan~~ :p
ReplyDeletedo they really cover the chicken (wrapped in foil paper) and bury them deep into heated salt?? this is what i would have thought how it's cooked.. so to be exact, neither baked nor steamed right?? though in Chinese it's called "baked" but got a better term in English??
ReplyDeletehahaha, greedy mamarazzi thought the more powder the better taste?? hehehe, clever, wrap the chicken using the popiah skin.. or maybe eat with rice and porridge then the taste will be just right?? Uncle SK loike to eat them cold, haha.. bought from Ipoh place them in the fridge overnight, eat it cold lagi more sedap dei~~ :p
ReplyDeleteGot a lot from friends. Not really a fan but it was ok. Something different for a change.
