Nearly a forthnight ago we went and dropped some books at the Subang Jaya Book Exchange programme.
Auntie Fay told us the good news that the Subang Jaya Book Exchange Programme
will be holding its first ever storytelling session on this coming Sunday. It will be by Anne Ooi. I am sure many know who is this remarkable lady. It's suitable for children aged
between 4 and 8.
All children are welcome but each must be accompanied
by a parent/guardian. Priority will be given to registered kids. To
register, please send an e-mail to sjbookexchange@gmail.com with child's
name and age, parent/guardian's name and contact number.
More and more books found in BEP leh....
A lot of John Grisham books.
Got Cecelia Ahern and Chimanmanda Ngozi too!
Sci-Fiction and Fantasy genre fans sure drool at these. Whole row of Piers Anthony's books.
While Mamarazzi syok-syok book hunting, I also syok syok play Carrom with friends there. Mind you...it's play Carrom not "ta k-lum" ah ...
Wah nice program and good initiative but i will faint whenever i flip a thick story book LOL
ReplyDeleteThe committee worked hard. I salute them for their commitment
DeleteThey sure are one committed bunch?
DeleteAny future branch opening at Meow's place?
They sure are. Arranging meets, sourcing funds, repairing books, sorting them, up keeping the venue and stuffs like that takes up a lot of time.
DeleteMe opening a branch here? Lol....own library wanna arrange also lembab. Let alone to arrange all that . Lol
Looks like both Mom and Son had a great time at the book fair.... I loved it that there were things to entertain the children while the adults shopped.
ReplyDeleteMy hubby loves the John Grisham books.
Hugs,
Betsy
Its not a book fair. It's community book swap project. Nice placectp ho
DeleteBestnyaaaa. I hve a fewabandoned books to let go. Would you like to help me to swap them? hehe. Later I cover the postage. wuwu. so geram looking at the books. Any Sidney Sheldon books?

ReplyDeleteLol...there also hv kids to play with.
DeleteCome la join the exchange. Got story time
Heh, "ta keh loon"? I bet J doesn't know what is the meaning.. hahaha.. If he ask mamarazzi, then how she gonna answer him?
ReplyDeleteSure or not? Or just pretend :p
DeleteI also dont know the meaning... :) How nice if there is a book exchange here in Ipoh... I certainly will become a member first thing... maybe I should start one? :)
ReplyDeleteYou should start one la! Among your church members. Sure many want
DeleteI take age to read a book...
ReplyDeleteAt least got read la
DeleteSame here, but very fast on Chinese book but months for English!!! =]
Deleteoh, that's indeed a nice move to organize a story-telling session for the kids!! i think they should plan to do this more often.. so that when the parents are busy "kaypohing" with the books, the kids can happily join each other in the story-telling group..
ReplyDeleteStory telling makes kids get interested in books la
Deletegetting more and more books over there huh?? so the books exchange is on a one-to-one basis?? wah, i can see mamarazzi borong more books back to read.. and she will be burning midnight oil until at least 4am everyday to read her books!! terrornya~~ @_@"
ReplyDeleteYes it is one to one basis but that day mamarazzi didn't find that many books that she wanna bring home. Still have coupon for about 23 books :p
Deletewah, so nice!! Small Kucing has friends there?? or kids actually can make friends more easily, main in a group already then everyone friend friend, haha!! ooopsss, this mamarazzi so naughty, say "ta kay lun", later who lost in the carrum game then gotta be punished "ta kay lun" with each other~~ muahahaha :D
ReplyDeleteLol...finally someone with the same frequency :p
DeleteThe rest doesn't know or pretend duno :p
Nice place with a concept to occupy the parents and the kids too.
ReplyDeleteIf have time do drop by
DeleteIf only got running books. I immediately go there and exchange books! Can give extra also! LOL
ReplyDeleteRunning books ah..on memoirs/bio or method/technical?

ReplyDeleteOic....but if you happens to be at that area can try la
Deletemamarazzi must find a lot of good novels to read during school holiday. I missed my reading. Time to have book hunt.
ReplyDeleteMore than enough time to read :p
DeleteLooks like all the books will be fun
ReplyDeleteSuper fun
DeleteWah so many books. Story telling - nice for children. What is "ta k-lum"?
ReplyDeleteLol .
DeleteThat's a lot of books!! Reading is good, keep it up!
ReplyDeleteWill sure do
DeleteI like John Grisham too. It's been so long since I've had time to read a book. I'm barely keeping up on my blog reading;)
ReplyDeleteSome days 24 hours doesn't seem to be enough
DeleteWell that looks like book heaven to me. Looks like you enjoyed your time there.
ReplyDeleteYea..I do enjoy my time there
DeleteI used to read a lot of Grisham! I have never heard of Piers Anthony though and I read a lot of sci-fi and fantasy.
ReplyDeleteI love the classic Dune and even the continuation written by the son (House sagas + I like the ending books too, which is really a cycle to the beginning and the prohibition on thinking machines). I read GRRM and love his books too. Another one is Gaiman, his short stories are amazing!
