Subang Jaya Book Exchange Programme Inaugural Meeting at the Cabin, USJ12

A forthnight ago we were at Subang Jaya Book Exchange Programme inaugrural meeting. It was held at the BEP Cabin, Jalan USJ 12/2E
.

Oh my!!! what a wonderful Kid's Corner !!! Thank you a million to all volunteers who made this place so cozy!

A bit lacking on the books department for kids but am sure there are many of you out there who is willing to contribute some kids books here, right? Yes?

Mamarazzi was very happy to see me "reading". Usually am very lazy to read. Mamarazzi ask me to read, I will tell her to read for me. It makes her wonder whether I can or cannot read all by myself.

The "adult" section. As you can see they currently have only 3 shelves. See those yellow boxes on the left? It's all filled with books. BEP needs more shelves

A generous person had contributed this comforatble chair for visitors to sit in and read

Mamarazzi really salute various volunteers who donated stuffs to be sold there.

The proceeds will go to upkeeping of the cabin. Come on la...they still have to pay electricity, water and etc leh.

Amendment :  for cleaning, supplies etc. Not utilises..opsie...

Mamarazzi really salute these generous soul. There was a little girl who also donated some of her stuffs for the sale.

Mamarazzi got this glow in the dark stars and planets for me at RM1. I wanted the Beach Boy Radio. Auntie Fay who is one of the volunteer and pinioeer of BEP was going to sell it for RM2, but since am so handsome she gave it to me for free.

This coming Sunday there will be another Book Exchange session. So anyone free this Sunday? Why not drop by the Book Exchange to pick up a good reads or two.

If you can't make it this Sunday, don't worry. The book exchange will be held on the 1st & 3rd Sunday of the month at the BEP Cabin, Jalan USJ 12/2E. GPS 3.041068 : 101.574987 / N 03°02'28.0 E 101°34'30.7

    2. BEP is for exchange book la. Not for selling books.

Anyway, rugi besar lo if I sell my books. Second hand books have minimal value in terms of money.

    3. AIyoh! Books are priceless in the eyes of a bookworm! How to sell! Tsk tsk

    3. Yea for free reading but cant read much there coz every forth night only open for 2-3hours. All man by volunteers .

Its meant to be drop off a book or two then pick up a book or two. Also booklovers can have a chat on books which they like.

Mamarazzi donate by "buying" lor...all it's to keep the community going.

    1. Yup...and what good about this is unlike library, BEP doesn't set a time limit for you to return the book. If you wish, you can keep the book too

  5. hey Mama... I have an idea.. why don't you liven up the place with your mini library? I am sure you can be a major "bookholder" there.. since you like books so much, you can read and at the same time operate from there.. (good idea or not?)

    1. Nope....I love my books too much . Only lend out to those whom I know who would take good care of them .

Saw one or two in previous occasion who when select book just take and when doesn't want, simply throw the books into the box

    2. Meow,
      I share your sentiment.

Sometimes it annoy me that I lend someone my precious book and they didn't take care of my books properly. I even hate those who fold a page to mark where they stop reading. :(

Worse, the borrowers sometimes never bother to return my books. :(

    3. Yea some buat harta. Hence I inly lend to those whom I kniw will return them to me , like Claire. Lend her books before and she always return them in good condition :)
