Restaurant Curry Leaf, Damansara Utama

Hmmm.....if not mistaken , a reader mentioned that this restaurant have very good Banana Leaf Rice. Is it you, The Ranting Cynic? Thank you for the terrific suggestion .

Well, we dropped by there more than a month ago...yea...another late post.

They have this "kiap -kiap" one each table. You know in Curry house they like to give you a small chit a paper stating how much is your food ....well...it's to "kiap" the paper

 wow...prize winning restaurant leh.

Papa opt for plain rice.  It came with four types of vegetables.(RM6)

Added a plate of Chicken Varuval RM6. Taste good wor according to Papa

Mamarazzi opt for Briyani Rice. Surprisingly it's only RM6.50 with four types of vegetables.

me....less adventurous....I opt for fried rice.

Alamak.....said don't want cili and don't want pepper but they forgot. They added pepper. Papa told the boss.

The Chef immediately fried a new plate of fried rice for me. He even stood by the kitchen door to watch me test the rice. Once he saw am okay with it, only did he went back into the kitchen.

Very good service leh

Errrr...anyone eat fried rice with hands ka? I wanna eat with hands leh

 Bill please , Boss!

Surprisingly, it's not expensive at all considering the good service and the location. It didn't cost an arm and a leg.

Here is the location of the restaurant if you wanna try out the food there No 75, Jalan SS21/37, Damansara Utama, 47400 Petaling Jaya, Malaysia .

Next round Mamarazzi said she wanna try out the Lemon rice......

  11. seldom have banana leaf rice also, so that RM6 for plain vegetarian is considered cheap?? but i think just add 50-sen to change to a briyani rice is indeed cheap, and i can see they gave nasi banyak-banyak also..

  13. not expensive at all, considering they have won a prize before and probably they could use that as an excuse to increase the price.. but then seeing at how sincere and honest the boss was with that fried rice incident, i think he is a very modest person lah.. can go for many many times in the future huh?? lemon rice, that sounds interesting to me also..

    1. True what you have said. Others would take opportunity to increase price.

Maybe this boss is fareed number two?
