Hmmm.....if not mistaken , a reader mentioned that this restaurant have very good Banana Leaf Rice. Is it you, The Ranting Cynic? Thank you for the terrific suggestion .
Well, we dropped by there more than a month ago...yea...another late post.
They have this "kiap -kiap" one each table. You know in Curry house they like to give you a small chit a paper stating how much is your food ....well...it's to "kiap" the paper
wow...prize winning restaurant leh.
Papa opt for plain rice. It came with four types of vegetables.(RM6)
Added a plate of Chicken Varuval RM6. Taste good wor according to Papa
Mamarazzi opt for Briyani Rice. Surprisingly it's only RM6.50 with four types of vegetables.
me....less adventurous....I opt for fried rice.
The Chef immediately fried a new plate of fried rice for me. He even stood by the kitchen door to watch me test the rice. Once he saw am okay with it, only did he went back into the kitchen.
.
Very good service leh
Errrr...anyone eat fried rice with hands ka? I wanna eat with hands leh
Bill please , Boss!
Surprisingly, it's not expensive at all considering the good service and the location. It didn't cost an arm and a leg.
Here is the location of the restaurant if you wanna try out the food there .
Next round Mamarazzi said she wanna try out the Lemon rice......
Can I have it for supper?
ReplyDeleteDobt think so coz will be too full to sleep leh
DeleteThe chicken varuval looks tempting... hehe
ReplyDeleteCan try cooking this
DeleteOoooo...looks really good! Melissa che-che misses the one she had at Fierce, no banana leaf here. My post today, also Indian... Hehehehehe!!!!
ReplyDeleteNext time u come with auntie lucy n jie jie mel, I ask papa to bring u to this shop ok. I think u will like it
DeleteMmmm the chicken looks very good. You always manage to make me hungry... even when I just ate.
ReplyDeleteLol.....come over to Malaysia. We are a food haven here
DeleteI just had briyani on sun, but i didn't take picture... hehe...
ReplyDeleteHow was ut? Nice?
DeleteCertainly worth the try for the all those you had and what more the service is great.
ReplyDeleteYea..mamarazzi was very impressed that the chef waited at the door to see if I thumbs up the food or otherwise.
DeleteGood location and choice then! Reasonable price and good service sure will have 2nd and 3rd and 4th time etc etc visits!
ReplyDeleteThat one no need to say la
DeleteCan't claim all the credit lah, haha. But glad you liked it.
ReplyDeleteIt was you right who recommended this restaurant. Love the food n service though parking hard to find
DeleteYeah, parking is a pain there especially at night or during business hours. Sigh.. But when I was there it was Saturday afternoon, no one around haha.
DeleteOoo Saturday afternoon easy oarking ya...hmmm...will try go next Saturday
Deleteneed so many "kiap" meh?? hahaha.. i thought the boss only comes around to pass you the chit of paper when you have finished ordering your food.. must be paparazzi keep on adding then they just have to "kiap" so many papers together~~ :D
ReplyDeleteNeed kiap better la coz if not hv to sumbat the paper here n there. Sure will hilang
Deletewah, prize-winning banana leaves curry rice restaurant woh!! but that photo looks kind of dated already, what year was that?? at least won 1st prize before, food cannot be bad right?? some kind of assurance lah.. :)
ReplyDeleteWhich year hv to korek back the photo and see. Well won before means their standard must be high also la
Deleteseldom have banana leaf rice also, so that RM6 for plain vegetarian is considered cheap?? but i think just add 50-sen to change to a briyani rice is indeed cheap, and i can see they gave nasi banyak-banyak also..
ReplyDeleteKira cheap lo rm6. And you can ask to tambah rice n vegetables. Apart from that they will give dried cili , rasam and misc things la to go with the rice. Worth it lo if eat a lot
Deletewow, the chicken looks good leh!! sure my banana-leaf-rice-fan friend would die for this, muahahaha.. the fried rice also looks good, and best of all, the boss gave very good service!! he's willing to change a new plate and make sure everything was alright.. good!!!
ReplyDeleteYes that was what impressed mamarazzi. The cheff waited at tge door u kniw. At first she thought y the fella staring at me after give me the plate...then she noticed when I nod my head the guy smiled and went back into the kitchen.
Deletenot expensive at all, considering they have won a prize before and probably they could use that as an excuse to increase the price.. but then seeing at how sincere and honest the boss was with that fried rice incident, i think he is a very modest person lah.. can go for many many times in the future huh?? lemon rice, that sounds interesting to me also..
ReplyDeleteTrue what you have said. Others would take opportunity to increase price.
DeleteMaybe this boss is fareed number two?
Had lemon rice once before in other shop. Nice
Good morning Mamarazzi!!
ReplyDeleteHaha, the kiap kiap very interesting!!
Hi hayley
