Restaurant Hon Kee Porridge Damansara Uptown Revisited

Adei...last month was really not a good month for health. Seems that everyone in the family fall sick one by one....papa, Mamarazzi, me, por por and Ah Mah.

Could it be 七月十四?  Had it started then? 七月十四 is the 14th day of lunar calender where it's believe that all the spirits from Hell is "released" and allowed for roam the earth for a month. Hence, same evil spirit will cause harm to human

Anyway, that time I was having CCF. Not Chee Cheong Fun but rather Cold Cough and Fever. Mamarazzi also not feeling so well. no mood to cook.

Hence we went for something light. Went to Restaurant Hon Kee Porridge at Damansara Uptown. Nearly 10pm but luckily they are still opened.

I shared this bowl of mixed pork porridge with Papa

Papa had the meat and intestine while I had the plain porridge.

Mamarazzi had their Pan Mee. It could be because the soup have been boiled long, hence very "yup mei"(Flavourful). Mamarazzi found it a bit salty to her taste.

Wah lau eh...the staffs must have been trying to "clear stock" coz there was a lot of "noodles" in that bowl. Guess Mamarazzi got lucky. I "helped" her to clear some of it.

Ah...a nice bowl of warm porridge. Can feel the fever "sweating" away nice.

Here is the address should you wish to pay this restaurant a visit:-

No 71, Jalan SS21/1A,
Damansara Utama
47400 Petaling Jaya, Malaysia

  14. actually not really like their porridge (though every one praised until like heaven), find them a bit too gluey for my liking.. porridge i would prefer a stall nearby HSBC around Central Market, only selling at night around 5pm and beyond 8pm like that already habis jual.. love their steam chicken and mixed pork porridge, they also have raw fish porridge.. yummy!!

    1. Exactly! This is the one that serves the best porridge in town and the best steamed chicken. I usually order the steamed chicken to go with the fish porridge. Close shop pretty early esp on w/es. Parking may be a problem there.

  20. I always enjoyed the generous servings when restaurants are clearing stock. They could even give me complimentary dishes and desserts! They were even polite to ask me first before dumping all the left overs to me. I would say a big Thank You!
