PRESS RELEASE : The School Kicks Off Rainbow Loom Challenge (Updates :20/5/2015)







Petaling Jaya, 15 May 2015 – Adding to its list of family-oriented activities, The School in Jaya One is kicking off the Rainbow Loom Challenge on 24 May 2015 in collaboration with Craft Space and The Red Cherry, the official authorized retailer for original Rainbow Loom in Malaysia.

Catering to a maximum of 50 participants, the challenge will run from 11am until 4pm and is open to kids aged between eight and 16 or above. To be eligible for the participation, the public will have to make a minimum purchase of RM50 in a single receipt from either The Red Cherry pop-up store or Craft Space, which are both located in The School. Participants with the most original and inventive creations will stand a chance to walk away with amazing prizes worth approximately RM2,500 in total.

This initiative is part of The School’s ongoing effort to constantly introduce more fun and engaging activities to enable young urban families foster quality bonding sessions with their loved ones. With this Rainbow Loom Challenge, participants have the opportunity to mingle with other  ‘loomers’ to exchange ideas as well as create items using the colorful rubber bands and plastic loom with their imagination and creativity.

UPDATE :20th MAY 2015


Rainbow Loom Challenge has been postponed to 14 June (Sunday) instead, same time at 11am – 4pm, Level 1 in The School. This is because we are taking into consideration that many kids are currently preparing for their mid-term exams, therefore they may not be able to participate. 

The new registration cut-off date is 12th June, 8pm. The same T&C still apply.

    1. Not my school. It's an educational mall
      Eacg weekend theyhave various activities for kids to join in. Next weekend will be the rainbow loom challenge. We wil see kids' creativity at work here :)

  9. Sounds like a worthy project and undertaking... Anything families can do to help children be more educated is a good thing. AND ---as you know, children can also learn so much while also having fun!!!!
