Salted Eggs Prawns with Pandan Leave

MMMMmmm something smell nice....

Mamarazzi going on her rojak recipe again. . She wanted to make Salted Eggs Prawns but doesn't have curry leaves.

Well, Auntie Florence gave her a bunch of Pandan leaves....hentam la...replace curry leaves with pandan la. The usual chopped garlic.

Boiled the salted eggs . Take the yolk and mash it.

Meantime dip the prawns into eggs yolk and corn flour. Then fry them till half cooked. Take out and drain the excess oil.

Meantime fry the garlic and pandan leave till fragrant...mmm.... add the mashed salted eggs yolks ...fry till got "bubbles" then throw in the  prawns. Once the prawns are cooked then can take out from the wok and serve.

Mmm....me not likey this type of cooking la...no gravy...I love the prawns masak kicap ...but Mamarazzi like salted Eggs Yolk prawns pulak.

  5. LOL! What a funny mama you have to simply hentam any leaves and cook them!! This gives me some idea now the reasons the cooks in US keep many bottles of dried leaf seasonings in their shelves. It is good option when you cannot get fresh ones.

  6. It is actually a Thai dish to use pandan leaves with prawns in Thailand. A new recipe which is popular in remote north. They tied the big prawns with pandans like how they wrapped the chicken! Yummy!

    3. oh BTW, i think some people also put in a bit of cili padi into this dish.. to enhance the flavor only lah not to intentionally make the whole dish spicy..
