Yup... Mamarazzi was making Pineapple tarts
Butter....
Adei.....when look through the recipe, it's not easy to do leh.....have to mix the butter into the flour but without the butter melting. And must mix thoroughly so that the flour and butter combine till look like bread crumbs.
First batch of Pineapple tarts......ready for the oven
Sigh......why turn out like this geh???? the "egg" part was burnt.
Second batch.....this time she know why it's like that.....the black colored places are where the pineapple jam touched. The "sugar" sort of burnt and made the place black.
Third batch. Not perfect but it's much better than first and second batch la.
See what I mean she likes the "jam" to be more chunky.
I came back from school the first and second batch were ready and she let me try some. I was very "diplomatic".
I said "it's delicious" but when she offered me more, I said "no. thanks"
But I did like third batch.
Mamarazzi preferred the round ones. But she said the color were not "yellow" enough. Maybe should use those Orange colored egg yolks kot?
But I preferred the flat ones.
I would choose the flat ones to eat.
Got a whole tubs for all of us. Mamarazzi said have to wait till finished this whole tubs before she try some more. Hmmmm....maybe can use strawberry jam instead of pineapple jam? What you say?
wow..that's yummy! strawberry jam would be a good substitute.
ReplyDeletemaybe will try that one of these days
Deletehuh?? those are eggs ah?? at first i thought what was that, maybe the mold for your pineapple tarts!! yalor, the color is kind of weird lah, how come is bright yellow one?? should be some orangy color one mah..

DeleteI love pineapple pie so much mamarazzi, whoa pandai mamarazzi buat tart nie, next time follow your recipe!! the 3rd batch looks great!!
ReplyDeleteYour pineapple tarts must be very, very yummy with chunky pineapple bits in the jam. For some reasons, I think strawberry jam will not be as yummy as pineapple jam because strawberry jam will not be as tangy as pineapple jam.
ReplyDeleteHmmm...maybe true also but the strawberry jam is the chunky type...maybe it will turn out alright
