Despite the wait, the lala Fried bihun was sure delicious. It was so delicious that after makan all I wanted some more. Papa ordered one more plate for us.
Had the Sweet Sour Crab.
These Mantao was ordered to eat with the gravy but I use it to make "bihun burger" pulak. Opps....Mamarazzi forgotten to snap photo of my "bihun burger".
Also had their Oh Chien...Papa and a friend helped to eat all as Mamarazzi still phobia from an incident in Penang . She still preferred the dry and crispy version of Fried Oyster Omelet.
During our trip there, we also managed to drop by Wan Tee Longan Farm . The Ping Pong Longan were all sold off.
But they still have some of the normal sized Longan. Learn something new from the Boss. They put the longan into the ice cream freezer box. Offered us some to eat as "sample". Eh ! Super nice leh!
You know sometimes we buy Longan and put into the fridge either peeled or unpeeled, after some time water will come out? Well, in freezer wit won't wor. The "flesh" stay crunchy.
Mamarazzi immediately bought a plastic home. Stuff it into our freezer. Now we can have chilled longan when we want it. Ahem...it has been a month now...we still have some of the Longans in the freezer . Yum.....
Very generous of him, this sure looks like a good place to go. I think you will return?
ReplyDeleteyup will return
DeleteThis must be the time you all went with Auntie LKH. Lover's Bridge still in ruins, not repaired yet, she said.
ReplyDeleteyes...that it :)
DeleteI like the lala fried bihun and that plate of oh chien..Dont fancy crabs, phobia.. There was a time I had crabs and some pieces of shell got stuck in between my teeth, felt like the tooth would be 'moved' apart, yuck !!
ReplyDeleteaiyo...that is an awful experience
DeleteFreezed longan huh.. Maybe I should try it too..
ReplyDeleteWhat happened with the oh chien in Penang?
yes...can try....
Deleteone stall cooking was bad. Too oily and mushy. Maybe the oyster bad too. Mamarazzi ate liao vomit whole day
oh the Lover's Bridge Restaurant.. Uncle SK wonders if the bridge has already been repaired?? it was once collapsed he remembers.. if yes, at least can go jalan-jalan on the bridge to look at the sea while waiting for the one and only chef to get the food cooked for Small Kucing.. :p
ReplyDeletenope have not been repair yet. Dont think they will repair la.

ReplyDeleteya lor...this one super sedap...
Deletenot used to having the sweet and sour crab?? Uncle SK thought that's actually quite common way kot?? so what Mamarazzi usually order?? the mantou would be nicer to go with the gravy if deep fried, Uncle SK thinks.. but the steam one with the lala fried beehoon, woohoohoo, sounds interesting leh!! Uncle SK also must learn to make that "lala beehoon burger" if got chance, haha!! so creative dei~~ :p
ReplyDeletethe way it's cook seems a bit different
Deleteeih.. that's a brilliant idea to store the longan into the freezer.. never have thought of that, or rather thought storing in the freezer will spoil the texture of the longan.. now with advice from the experts, maybe can do the same to lychee also huh?? can keep longer and also more tasty when the flesh is crunchy?? and maybe less heaty if eat them as "ice balls" huh?? hehe~~ :p
ReplyDeletenot spoilt leh...still very crunchy...as for heaty duno leh

DeleteI enjoyed this post -and it reminded me of what I do (which is similar). When we were on vacation, we bought 3 different kinds of FUDGE .. Since it is fattening, I keep out a tiny bit and freeze the rest. We only allow ourselves to eat a small piece every 3 days --so as not to gain weight... Thank Goodness for the FREEZER... ha
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Betsy
Thanks Betsy. Yup bless the one who invented freezer
DeleteI am not sure if my Hubs would like the sweet and sour crab. That would be my favorite if they could make it without sugar.
ReplyDeletecant make it without sugar. Maybe can try chili crabs. Taste good too
DeleteMmm...... I would like to try the oyster omelette.
ReplyDeletecan try making this
DeleteYum! I like lala fried mee hoon too, it's something that I learned to appreciate over here. Haha!
ReplyDeleteWe don't have lots of lala in Sibu or Kuching compared to KL although we have lots of clams and other seafood.
The crab looks good too, would love to check out this place sometimes.
Take care Kathy!
Thanks Huai Bin
