Royal Hotel, Macaroni Panggang (mp) and Buns from Venus Bakery, Bogor

Woi...still can smile ah...nearly no place to stay leh. Never book any hotel so simple hentam go. Thought maybe week days not many people la. Adui...called the hotels while in the taxi...all said fully booked.

Along the road, saw many people selling stuffs.

Mamarazzi told me this bus looked like her school bus.

So happy! Finally found a hotel Hotel Royal. Can become monkey liao.

First business....you know what? Of course la go "swimming" .

Nobody geh...I have the whole pool for myself.

I want this "chair" but the hor...I was naughty and climb it...nearly terpelanting. Mamarazzi laughed at me

Asked me to "pose" for her.

Papa said this look like pole dancer pulak...aduiiiiii....

After about an hour or so....getting cold ahhhh...

Went back upstairs. Hungry ah. Dig and found some hard boiled eggs that Mamarazzi sapu-ed from the previous hotel that morning.

Finally time for dinner. Papa's friend bringing us to have something famous.

Sure "high" liao...jumping up and down.

It's a restaurant named Macaroni Panggang. err...sorry ya...photos after this are blur coz the lights were dim. A cozy setting.

Mamarazzi had Soursop. I had a taste. I don't like. I like my Ais Jeruk a.k.a Orange Juice better.

I had their noodle. Forgotten the name. Maybe it's Mie Goreng jamur.

I offered everyone my noodle.

But nobody wanna take my noodle geh. *sulks*

Then comes the famous Macaroni Panggang . Grilled Macaroni with cheese

Top was crunchy cheese and bottom was cheesy Macaroni. Portion was big. The seven of us can't finish it. Papa's friend insist that we "tapau" this back to hotel as supper.

Mamarazzi had the Nasi Timbel Perda Bakar. It's a traditional cuisine over there which consist of rice rolled in banana leaf and served with roasted salty fish, grilled Petai, Tempe and sambal tempe.

Here is what the rice looked like after it was unrolled.

Last but not least , they also ordered Klapertart for us to try.Not bad. A bit sweet. Those with sweet tooth will like it.

Noticed this sexy Fanta bottle. We don't have it over here ...or at least I have not seen yet.

That was not all....maybe Papa friend scared we hungry later on...He bought a big tiramisu cake for us to bring back to the hotel.

We went to visit his new house. Very nice. As we were going back to the hotel, the wife came back and gave us this.

Wah...really a lot of things to eat leh. These buns taste great. Love the banana bun.

Launching of Big Bad Wolf Books Sale & Preview 2013

Lucky me! I got invited as "media" for this year's Big Bad Wolf Books Sale . Was there early . Around 9.30am was there already but we heard music and sound of marching. Alamak. Were we late?

Nope... They were having rehersal. Terkejut aku but it was a nice surprise ah

The event started promptly with welcome speech by Mr Andrew Yap, The Managing Director of Big Bad Wolf Books Sdn Bhd

It was followed by a speech from Mr Charles SIki Head of Consumer Financial Services, OCBC Bank Malaysia

Mamarazzi was pleasantly surprised by the speech from respresentative of Budimas.  It seems that BBWBS have contributed a large amount to Budimas. What a surprise. Thought the company would have used this in their marketing to promote their brand  but they didn't.

After all have been said, Mr Wolf finally appeared , escorted by men in skirt kilts. Long live The Big Bad Wolf!

Finally the official launching of the Big Bad Wolf Books Sale and Red Readerhood with the pretty child accepting donation of books from the Managing Director.

Ribbon cutting ceremony and then we were allowed to the Wolf's lair.

OM KUCING!!! where to start?

Yay...I know where the playland is. . Mr Wolf had shown me. I can go and play while Mamarazzi hunt for books! Knowing Mamarazzi it would surely take whole day.

Spotted! Hardcover Paulo Coelho's book Aleph. His books are mostly goodreads.

At the far end of the Children Section, Mamarazzi spotted many RM1 books

Some are like this black and white while some have colors

Poor Auntie CC. She was unable to come due to the flooding in the East Coast. Mamarazzi helped her to grab the some books for the kids la.

The staffs at the Children section were very helpful. They helped Mamarazzi hunt all the books in her list. In fact, most of the staffs were helpful and well trained this round.

They even have porter service to help customers carry their books to their car. Hence, ones don't have to worry even if they come at wee hours in the morning to shop.

This year Mamarazzi grabbed a lot of books for me than for herself as this year's selection of children's books are superb.

Found some musical books and pop up books at RM5 and RM6 only. Don't know whether it's Mamarazzi's imagination or what but the price for Children books seems to have dropped slightly. Some books which Mamarazzi saw last year priced at RM8 and RM6 had dropped to RM6 and RM5 respectively

There was a lot of graphic novels as compared to previous years. Managed to grab a few graphic novels at RM8. There were graphic novel of Twilight Zone, the Avengers, Thor, Iron Man and many more.

Too bad Auntie Elin can't come this year else she might go crazy coz this year as there were loads and loads of Cookery books.

Mamarazzi hang around there till they kicked her out closing time, 8pm. There were still many people browsing. Hmmm ..from 12pm to 8 pm certainly not enough time to make a thorough search of the place.

Mamarazzi super exhausted  from all the book hunting while I was exhausted from playing in the Playland whole day. Really play kau kau lor

For those of you who doesn't know by now, The Big Bad Wolf Books Sale 2013 is held at MIECC from 6th December 2013 starting 7am till 15December 2013 ending at 9pm. Yup! It's 230 hours straight non-stop sale!

For more photos of the titles that Mamarazzi saw in the Big Bad Wolf Books Sale, please visit our Facebook . Thanks

Trio Permata - Restaurant Masakan Padang, Bogor

The next morning we woke up early....really early leh...coz over the 6am Indonesia time, the sun already burning the bum bum leh.

Went downstairs for the complimentary buffet breakfast.

Selection not bad leh. I like their orange Juice. Being kiasu, Mamarazzi went up stairs and got an empty mineral water bottle down.

"Tapau-ed" a bottle of orange juice for me to drink later and 5 hard boiled eggs. Papa went for the meeting while Mamarazzi and me hang out in the room watching television .

Noon, Papa came back and we packed up. Next destination, Uncle "Brown's" home in Bogor.

Halfway in the Taxi I got wrried coz I was not sure if Mamarazzi packed my stinky lamb lamb along. I asked Mamarazzi and she said she had packed but I took Lamb Lamb out from the luggage to play with.

Oh no...I can't recall whether I did put it back or not. Mamarazzi said if lamb-lamb was left in the hotel then it means bye bye.

Papa called the hotel and the cleaning crew said they have not cleaned the room yet but will take note if they found my lamb lamb.

Despite everything, I managed to sleep on the way to Bogor. Woke up at this restaurant.

Papa suggested we have lunch before hunting for hotel. Uncle Brown and the taxi driver discussed. They suggested this restaurant

For those who are not aware, "masakan padang" is Padang Cuisine. Usually in restaurant like this, customer do not need to order. Once they are seated, the waiter will bring out all sort of dishes and stack it up on the table. Customers only need to pay for the dishes that they ate. Customers will not be charged for the untouched dishes.

It's amazing how the waiter can carry so many dishes in one hand

Mamarazzi like the "Ayam Pop"(Pop Chicken). Taste a bit like out herbal baked chicken.

I was not in the mood for eating. Saw the garden by the window. Went and have a look.

.
Beautiful garden. There were fish and tortoise in the small pond

Not sure of the exact address of this restaurant but it's located along Jl.Pajajaran, Bogor, West Java. You might want to try out the food here.

A Surprise Trip To Indonesia - Dinner at Dapur Kuring, Jakarta

Yay! Papa fixed the Picasa liao. Mamarazzi managed to sort out some of the photo. As I have said earlier , Papa surprised us with a trip to Indonesia when a forthnight ago.

He had meeting there so we sort of tagged along.

While waiting for the plane we sorta hang out at Marry Brown. Adui...the place was packed with people. Guess, many are going for vacation too.

After having lunch we kinda shy to "monopoly" the table any longer so off we went to the shop next door.

Pretending to be hardworking, reading a book from last year's Big Bad Wolf Books Sale.

By the way, this year's Big Bad wolf Books Sale will be starting this Friday Yipee!

Papa got me a Sundae. If not mistaken it's about RM3 only but a LOT leh. Can't finish. Papa had to help me finish it.

One of the "ugly" way of the travellers. Rubbish bin is just a few steps away and yet the just litter here when they were about to board the plane.

Dunno why but I seems to be famished that day. Finished my Nasi Lemak. Spicy and yet wanna eat. Still not full. Papa had to ordered a Cup Noodle for me.

Arrived Jakarta at a wrong timing. Arrived around 5pm but it took us hours plus to reach the hotel padahal the hotel was just about 30 minutes ride away.

Yup....the famous traffic jam.Checked in Hotel Ibis Slipi, rested awhile before headed out food hunting

Nah...we didn't go far. Went to the restaurant next door to the hotel. The restaurant have a unique name "Dapur Kuring".

Papa ordered Orange Juice with Coconut for me. Here they called it Ais Jeruk Kelapa

It doesn't taste like orange juice that I have know. Mamarazzi said it's made of sweet green orange. If not mistaken Malay call it Limau Madu. Last time Uncle Arthur bought some for us when we went Sibu.

Service was fast.

First time tasting Sayur Asem(Sour vege?). Nice .

Fried Tauhu which Papa ordered for me. I love it.

Papa ordered Telor Ikan(Fish roe) for Mamarazzi. spicy but nice leh....lucky the tea there is free refill.

Normal stir fried Kangkung but they added Cili padi(birds eye cili)

Ayam Bakar(Roasted Chicken?) with a lot of cili aste. Mamarazzi tasted and it taste a bit like our Rendang Ayam.

Fried Squid....yum...the sauce on top was sweet sauce.

Adoi...I should have wore long pant. Here I eat, there they having a feast on me .

Saw these pudding and Papa tapau-ed some for me to eat in the hotel room. Nice. Got Papaya pudding. I like.
