Launching of Big Bad Wolf Books Sale & Preview 2013

Lucky me! I got invited as "media" for this year's Big Bad Wolf Books Sale . Was there early . Around 9.30am was there already but we heard music and sound of marching. Alamak. Were we late?

Nope... They were having rehersal. Terkejut aku but it was a nice surprise ah

The event started promptly with welcome speech by Mr Andrew Yap, The Managing Director of Big Bad Wolf Books Sdn Bhd

It was followed by a speech from Mr Charles SIki Head of Consumer Financial Services, OCBC Bank Malaysia

Mamarazzi was pleasantly surprised by the speech from respresentative of Budimas.  It seems that BBWBS have contributed a large amount to Budimas. What a surprise. Thought the company would have used this in their marketing to promote their brand  but they didn't.

After all have been said, Mr Wolf finally appeared , escorted by men in skirt kilts. Long live The Big Bad Wolf!

Finally the official launching of the Big Bad Wolf Books Sale and Red Readerhood with the pretty child accepting donation of books from the Managing Director.

Ribbon cutting ceremony and then we were allowed to the Wolf's lair.

OM KUCING!!! where to start?

Yay...I know where the playland is. . Mr Wolf had shown me. I can go and play while Mamarazzi hunt for books! Knowing Mamarazzi it would surely take whole day.

Spotted! Hardcover Paulo Coelho's book Aleph. His books are mostly goodreads.

At the far end of the Children Section, Mamarazzi spotted many RM1 books

Some are like this black and white while some have colors

Poor Auntie CC. She was unable to come due to the flooding in the East Coast. Mamarazzi helped her to grab the some books for the kids la.

The staffs at the Children section were very helpful. They helped Mamarazzi hunt all the books in her list. In fact, most of the staffs were helpful and well trained this round.

They even have porter service to help customers carry their books to their car. Hence, ones don't have to worry even if they come at wee hours in the morning to shop.

This year Mamarazzi grabbed a lot of books for me than for herself as this year's selection of children's books are superb.

Found some musical books and pop up books at RM5 and RM6 only. Don't know whether it's Mamarazzi's imagination or what but the price for Children books seems to have dropped slightly. Some books which Mamarazzi saw last year priced at RM8 and RM6 had dropped to RM6 and RM5 respectively

There was a lot of graphic novels as compared to previous years. Managed to grab a few graphic novels at RM8. There were graphic novel of Twilight Zone, the Avengers, Thor, Iron Man and many more.

Too bad Auntie Elin can't come this year else she might go crazy coz this year as there were loads and loads of Cookery books.

Mamarazzi hang around there till they kicked her out closing time, 8pm. There were still many people browsing. Hmmm ..from 12pm to 8 pm certainly not enough time to make a thorough search of the place.

Mamarazzi super exhausted  from all the book hunting while I was exhausted from playing in the Playland whole day. Really play kau kau lor

    3. I was there on the first day. One of the first "sardines" that rushed in and grabbed when the door open. I can still remember I bought duplicate of John Grisham book that round. Didn't get to buy much of children book coz ppl were sitting on the floor there sorting book. Queue for payment was like an hour long. That weekend I was in KT. That was where I heard ppl were queueing till ground floor.

If compared then to now..it's a big improvement on service amd space lo
