We must have missed a turning or something as the next signboard we saw was going to Bidor and Teluk Intan. Oh well....maybe it's meant to be that we go Teluk Intan.

Finally arrived at Leaning Clock Tower of Teluk Intan. Didn't stop to snap photo. Just click click from the car.
It seems that there are several shop/stall that are famous for the Chee Cheong Fun.

Next stop...hunting for 三少爷猪肠粉 San Siew Yeah Chee Cheong Fun. Some how Papa got the impression that the CCF place is somewhere near the town center. We round and round the place and yet couldn't find.
tried to google the proper address, the mobile telco provided\r was sleeping that evening. Crawling slower than the snail.

Mamarazzi did not taste them as earlier stated, she is not fond of these type of CCF. She can see that the Liew Kee CCF is more oily.
As for Papa....he said he likes Liew Kee's better ...however....he quoted that both did not have him "jumping up and down". For him, the best is still the ones that he tasted at Restoran Aneka Selera Chicken Cuisine Noodle House in Kg Subang.
Mamarazzi said most probably both kena penyet and when arrived home it's already cold. The next day Papa heat up the rest to eat and said it tasted better...but.....oh well....
ah....teluk Intan...it's seem some 20 years since I have been there. I used to go there in my late teens when I worked as a computer technician.

ReplyDeleteEh, sekali pandang, Ah Lek CCF looks more hoi wai (to me la).. Looks like murtabak leh.. Hahahahaha.. But really, if me, I think I will try Ah Lek CCF first.. Of coz have to try both la, but I will choose to try Ah Lek CCF first..
I'm a very simple person.. No go here & there for jalan jalan or makan makan.. For me, the best CCF is still the CCF bought from the market near mum's house in Cheras.. When mum comes for a visit, I always request for the same CCF.. Yummzzz..

Deletehahaha, Paparazzi's mouth said no need to go to Teluk Intan, but then his stomach asked his legs to step on the accelerator and missed the turning, and his hands to turn the steering wheel into Teluk Intan!!! how cute, or maybe just like what Mamarazzi said, it's meant to be.. so still, CCF for Paparazzi but no more curry chicken bun for Mamarazzi~~ :p

Deletewah, Paparazzi really love those Teluk Intan style CCF huh?? look, hunting the two places since daytime until night time, Uncle SK wonders if Small Kucing felt hungry and merajuk inside the car?? hmmmm, call Uncle SK jakun, he has not eaten this type of CCF before, he saw before at CCF stall but then he never took that.. just took the liu and have no CCF because cutting down on carbs and oil~~ :D

Deletepatutlah.. all the way from Teluk Itan, the CCF kena wrapped and cold already, maybe not as nice as having them there right away.. heat it up and have a little soy sauce and pickled green chili would be nice, I guess.. maybe if got chance, Uncle SK also wanna try this type of CCF lah.. is it something like HK style CCF but this one got sengkuang and browned shallots inside instead??

DeleteI visited Teluk Intan often before my MP boss died. That small town is really famous for unknown wonders besides the leaning clock tower. Some said they purposely built it senget like Pisa to attract tourists but my father grew up in that town before WW2. He said it was straight when it was built, no arguments la. LOL

DeleteI forgot to tell you that right opposite the clock tower, there is a corner shop selling local biscuits and their kacang tumbuk is the best in the world. No kidding!

DeleteChee Cheong Fun used to be my daily breakfast 5 years ago handmade by old apek at hawker street (near to my ex-college) Couldn't find any CCF as delicious as cooked by this apek now..

DeleteI saw many people posted about the Leaning Clock Tower of Teluk Intan and I really wish to go and see myself someday. But travel around Perak must a bit difficult for me especially when I don't have car around.
ReplyDeletecan actually rent a car here to get around. Roughly around RM100-RM200, depending what car you take . Cheap if share with friends. Cheaper that taking cab and buses when travelling around here
