Ipoh Big Tree?
I wonder is it related with the famous Ipoh Big Tree stall in Ipoh.
Anyway...It was a rainy evening. Still very early in the evening. Not customers in the restaurant at all and all handled by foreign workers. Mamarazzi was thinking....hmmm..... hmmm....
Rainy evening...just nice to have curry noodles. That's Mamarazzi's.
For me , I wanted Clear Soup Hor Fun .
Errr....minus the cili slices please.
But but but....when I saw Mamarazzi having her Curry Noodle ...slurp slurp ....looks so yummy wor...
She asked me if I wanted to try the curry noodles.
Yes! I want I want I want...
My way of eating Curry Mee...One spoon of Curry Mee..Uh...spicy... Slurp slurp slurp Hor Fun...then Slurp Slurp Slurp the Milo.
In no time my Milo Kosong Ice were gone.
Mamarazzi hsaid should have ordered hot drink like her la. Ipoh White Coffee. Iced drinks makes the Curry taste spicier lah she said.
Papa leh? what did he had? He had Hakka Mee. Loaded with taugeh(bean sprout), Said taste not bad wor. Asked Mamarazzi to taste but she preferred her Curry Mee.
Overall...okay la the food. If asked Mamarazzi rate how many stars out of 5, she would say around 2.5stars la . But that is her own opinion la.
Here is the address of the restaurant if you are keen to try out the food there :No. 22, Jalan Ss 2/67, Selangor, 47300 Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.
. Heard that the Yong Tau Foo is very tasty there but we haven't try yet .
On a non-related to Ipoh Big Tree matter....just wanna post up photo of this "Cempedak" which neighbour gave us after she returns from hometown. Yummm yuummmmm...it's Cempedak season now.
The curry dish and soup both look so good! :)
ReplyDeleteIt was okay
DeleteWhen I heard of Big Tree, the first thing that hit my mind is the giant billboard companies we see everywhere.
ReplyDeleteNow I know it is a restaurant and mamarazzi gave only 2.5*!! Haiks!
hahahaha...ya hor...the signboard also by Big Tree company
DeleteEh small kucing, you lost so much weight! Now you make me wonder whether papa ate all your food?? LOL
ReplyDeleteNever mind, being thin, happy and healthy is good enough. That's what you are now, enjoying all the good food Uncle TM never had and you read more books than anyone I know! Lucky boy.
Now my baby fat all gone mah. hahaha
DeleteI think the curry mee looks delicious and spicy red enough to please me.
ReplyDeleteWeii, how come the cempedak so light colour one. Ripe boh???
ripe. very harum leh the cempedak. Duno why this color but then taste sweet le
DeleteMuahahahaha!!! Apalah! Anat KT ni tak pandai makan pedas. Ahhhh...so they have a branch in KL now eh? Looks very nice and clean and food looks good too - they say that place in Ipoh, don't go, rather dirty...and very crowded. Dunno true or not - nobody ever took me there. Sobsssss!!!!!
ReplyDeleteCheh...why must be able to eat pedas leh anak KT.. Hahaha....
DeleteTarakj read review before go there. But if you go I think you will say below your expectation la
I don't go Big Tree here in IPoh if I can help it.. the liews are not so nice actually.. Big and in quantity and not so much in quality.. hahaha.. that is my opinion.. but maybe your side there, they are different... yes, it is cempedak season... last Friday the vendor sold us the crystal cempedak... got such name also one.. :)
ReplyDeleteOh itu macam ah? I thought big tree very famous leh
DeleteI have not see this ipoh big tree in ss2 before, maybe i somehow missed it. Haha
ReplyDeletesame row as Hong Leong Bank
DeleteNo bad huh, you can eat curry mee but still at testing stage. One day you will order one bowl for yourself :)
ReplyDeleteMaybe lor...one day am gonna finished off Mamarazzi's curry mee
Deleteoooh, Uncle SK have been to this Ipoh Big Tree in SS2, for ONCE.. that time wanted to go eat something else but not opened, saw this and thought Ipoh Big Tree woh, those YTF memang sedap when he tried it in Ipoh.. so just went in and give it a try..
ReplyDeleteYou also ah? We also wanted to eat something else but cant find the shop so ended here
Deleteeih, didn't know they sell so many types of noodles leh.. maybe that time Uncle SK focus on the YTF only lah, then also ordered the asam laksa.. hehe, but true also lah, Ipoh mari punya, sure must have at least the Ipoh Hor Fun right?? and if got laksa then might as well have curry lor, and if got noodles then not difficult to have Hakka Mee also mah.. hehehehe, logical thinking :p
ReplyDeleteWanted to try their RM9.90 set but it seems that certain days have certain type of noodles only. End up we order ala carte la
Deletewah, the Cat Family really got "hao fook" that day, ate the Ipoh Big Tree noodles and balik rumah the neighbour gave them the cempedak!! wow, look at that, such a huge one and loaded with biji-biji of fruits leh.. can eat them raw and then can also deep fry them.. long time Uncle SK didn't have cempedak already leh.. BTW, the skin can eat or not ah?? or those we have not from cempedak but nangka or something similar?? neh, those fried cempedak stalls also got sell one~~
ReplyDeleteactually the cempedak was given to us after neighbour came back from kampung. But baru aje ripe after waiting like a week. Skin cannot eat kot? But the seed can boil and eat la
DeleteApa tu Ipoh Big Tree, hehe.. Amboi look at the cempedak.. I can finish the whole thing, give me !!
ReplyDeleteDai shee kiok lor....
Deletevery big cempedak leh. you can finish meh
Next time order soya bean ma... soya bean effective against spiciness. ;)

DeleteMamarazzi's curry noodle looks yummy. And your papa's Hakka mee also looks good. I love chempedak but the chempedak is of a lighter colour. I must go looking for chempedak tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteYa wor. this cempedak so light in color. Usual punya is orange red. Maybe this one is kacukan punya kot
DeleteSo, your Milo Kosong was soon kosong-lah! Love that photo of you....why the evil eye leh? But I heard hor, the Ipoh Big Tree has no branches elsewhere! ;D
ReplyDeleteya lor...sekejap only kosong liao

Omigosh, haven't seen cempedak in a long time. I used to go crazy for cempedak fritters because of the aroma. ^.^
ReplyDeleteit;s now cempedak season here
DeleteThe 1st picture, in deep thought?
ReplyDeletetarak tau wat to eat
Deleteyour son looks cute with his glasses on.. how poor is his vision by the way? my youngest brother had to wear eyeglasses too because he can barely see what's written on their blackboard during class but not that worst though
ReplyDeleteThanks, BD. Gotta wear glasses coz got Astig.
DeleteMaybe this big tree ss2 is related to the ipoh big tree in sri Petaling. Chempedak is tasty!
ReplyDeletenot sure whther related or not
DeleteYa the cempedak taste good
The curry noodles sure look good! It's so tempting especially on a rainy day. xoxo
ReplyDeletethat was why Mamarazzi choose curry noodles

DeleteI'M LONGING FOR CEMPEDAK NOW!! It's always around this time when all sorts of tropical fruits like durian and CEMPEDAK can be found in tons... grr
ReplyDeleteyea now is cempedak season
DeleteI love the curry noodles but will change it to mee hun, hahaha...
ReplyDeletehahaha Mamarazzi like Bihun mee
DeleteYum yum! The cempedak looks good!
ReplyDeleteI got an organic cempedak for my better half too, I already ate at the farm, it was juicy and nice and big.
Hmm...actually I think Milo would make it less spicy since it has milk inside - dairy products can make spiciness go away but not water. :)
nice nice cempedak ya.
DeleteMilo finished fast
that curry noodle looks so yummy, I do understand you why you're wanting to have some taste of your mom's curry noodle :)
ReplyDeleteyea am so tempted with that
